MN - Alex Pretti dead after Minneapolis shooting involving immigration agents, US media report, January 24, 2026

Unfortunately I don't trust anything this government does. A secure locked room? I guess they'll release that entirely one day too! IMO
Maybe in 75 years from now?

I've justed watched the video below on the main BBC Ten O'Clock News on BBC1.

Ironically, if Alex Pretti had been arrested for this, he'd still be alive.

If that's him and if he was armed then, why did they just let him go?

Did they let him go because he was armed or they didn't care or what?
"
That's the thing with this killing and with this agency...Why was he a "huge threat" on the 24th and not on this date?

I think there are many armed people out there....

There is no right to physically obstruct a federal agent performing official duties. To me Mr. Pretti was obstructing.

Obstructing exactly what? And how?

Also, in civilised countries a person who obstructs the LE performing their duties, gests arrested, tried snd sentenced. Not executed on the spot.

MOO 🐄

How can it be appropriate? Their names are still unknown to MN LE and the state's citizens. If the players were changed to MN local police being the shooters, would not MN and the nation know who the actors were? Would local or state LE not be named? There's a standard of LE investigation that's not being met by the DHS/ICE investigating themselves, behind closed doors. MN's governnent, state and local, are concerned that evidence was taken and removed with no care or accountability being shown. DHS/ICE have assured by those actions, IMO, that if warranted no prosecution could be undertaken. Is that the correct way of investigating, of professional LE, of seeking answers and justice? Again all rhetorical question as I think the answers are quite clear. No
AJMO
It's been stated that one of the ICE shooters appears to be from Texas and was dressed in clothing unlike the others... cowboy boots etc. I have considered that the administration may be offering pay to play an ICE agent deals to well-connected wealthy donors and their progeny. It reminds me of the illegal big game hunting reports I've seen. They are brought in, and now whisked away. Administrative leave or sanctuary?

Is she talking about 26 not 16 , arrests made yesterday by the Mapke Grove PD? Protesters were outside of a suites place where ICE are staying and property damage and escalating violence changed the situation, so police rightly stepped in?

It's hard to say.

I somehow caught these protests on YouTube live streams two nights in a row. They seemed more "rag tag", more like"disturbing the peace". They were making noise and banging things. It was a "late night" crowd, if you know what I mean.....

It was in Maple Grove, not Minneapolis.

It would not be my idea of an effective protest. All an agent had to do, if they were staying in the hotel, was put on ear plugs to block them out. And the crowd size was not impressive enough to have an impact. Effective protests rely on larger crowds.

Their noise would have bothered guests who were not armed with ear plugs.
I would not be surprised if that is why they were arrested.

My hunch is the Maple Grove protesters will have minor charges filed against them.

They had him pinned down to the ground. All they needed to do and should have been trained to do, was to search him properly. Not to shot hin ten times in the back.

MOO 🐄
Wouldn't trained, capable LE have pinned his arms behind his back and cuffed him? There were enough of them in the pile on.

Ok, well that is pretty offensive. But that is ok. I'll just end it at that.

What are your points? I am really just trying to avoid an argument.

omg they're not necessarily supporting the amendment, they're supporting equality under the Constitution. How can you not comprehend this? You're an attorney aren't you? Critical thinking in the US is an endangered species.

so you didn't read my answer to your question and you want me to reiterate them?
Fair enough I see you are not interested in a genuine discussion and just want to gaslight me

First time seeing that video - wow! He wasn’t a peaceful observer that time. He should have been taken into custody. imo

I agree, he should have been arrested for his actions in this video, there was very clear damage to the officers car. He was also armed here. So why didn’t they arrest him? Why didn’t this incident, where he’s being violent and distruptive, end with him being shot? Could it be because these officers knew how to de-escalate the situation and defuse a threat but the others didn’t?

Your comment was "omg they're not necessarily supporting the amendment, they're supporting equality under the Constitution. How can you not comprehend this? You're an attorney aren't you? Critical thinking in the US is an endangered species." I did not understand it. How can you support the Constitution, but not the amendment, which is a part of the amendment? I don't understand the "equality" comment? I would love to have a genuine conversation. Can you further explain what you meant here? Are you saying the amendment is not supportable? or are you saying some are not given equal rights? I am just not understanding your question I guess.

You'll look for any reason to justify his execution. Shameful. Not sure why you believe this is real. I don't buy it for a second.

They are pointing out the facts. You aren't interested in genuine discussion and are gaslighting people.
