That’s still not where Chauvin had his knee though. His knee was in the SIDE of the neck not across upper back or neck.

Source? Or is this your opinion?

BBM Damn - video perspective matters -

knee was never on his neck

This just isn't true. Knew was on neck. Knee moved later - much later, when the paramedics arrived.

Nelson just got the witness to agree that his shin/knee was across his shoulders in various still photo's, which were at various times.

I will wait for redirect since I missed his direct testimony, but IMO this witness just helped the defense.

It also does not excuse why they didn't help GF, but there is a lot more to come. Nelson seems to have a lot of these witnesses agreeing that almost every policy, almost everything that happens is 'situational'. JMO

Nope, knee was never on his neck
We’ve heard for MONTHS a knee was on his neck for 9+ minutes
Police Body cam proves that wasn’t true.

I will rewatch later, but Nelson just showed him various still photos, from various times, sorry was trying to get the snips and didn't note the times.

We also heard Chauvin had his hand in his pocket - not true either

maybe - or maybe GF overdosed

Police have live saving protocol which they follow when someone in their care may have overdosed.

Repeatedly testified it’s all - situational

Honestly Chauvin's defence team aren't even stating "his knee was never on on his neck" It's false. Police Body cam from about 30 seconds to a minute at the very end shows that Chauvin's knee had moved. So you're discounting the prior 8 minutes that clearly shows his knee is on the neck....

This witness would disagree when looking at if from a different angle.

I'm actually feeling a bit uhmmm shocked over this, anyone else?

I have another question for anyone that might know.... IF they were to start CPR or whatever, would they had to have removed the cuffs??? A question asked makes me think they would have.

you haven’t heard from defense witnesses yet
The defense has been trying to justify his actions from the beginning. Nelson is blaming the "angry" crowd as a major reason why the officers were distracted and couldn't render aid to Floyd. It was obvious to anyone watching that they were pleading to the officers to help him.

That they continued restraining him after he had no pulse (because he "might" become combative) isn't justifiable, either. People don't normally start breathing on their own after they haven't been breathing for three minutes. He showed no signs of life and he wasn't a threat.

They showed more concern about protecting themselves than the safety and well being of their suspect, as well as the people watching. Every time Floyd said, "it hurts, my neck hurts, my back hurts," Chauvin's response was, "uh-huh, uh-huh," to every complaint. It doesn't sound much like he attempted to reassess the situation. As the Lieutenant said today, "Reassessment is paramount to the use of force."

Also re. video perspective.

If you don't believe what you see in one video showing one perspective why do you believe what you see in the other showing another perspective. How do you know which perspective is true?

so you are discounting the photo's that were just shown to this witness and he said it appears that his knee/shin are across his shoulder? At various times from body cams?

The stills showing knee across shoulder blade are from a different time? Much later on...

Yeah, I’m
Shocked - looking at the bodycam view shows a much more accurate perspective - knee wasn’t on his neck -
He would have been unconscious in less than 10 seconds, according to this witness, had he compressed blood flow

His knee was on his neck for nine minutes. He only took it off after the paramedic told him to get out of the way.
