None at all, "if we exclude the Police in a hypothetical"
Problem is, we can't Mr. Nelson.

I love how he always asks hypotheticals. Because if he died alone in his residence, THERE WOULD BE NO TRIAL GOING ON. the fact is there was police involvement and we can’t just remove that from this situation.

I lost interest in his cross already. Anyone feel like he’s making any points?
Yes he is definitely getting a few points in. IMO

Not very many in my opinion. He’s stammering so bad and he’s asking too many hypotheticals and removing his client’s involvement. And him just saying let’s say I walked up and strangled you. Ummmm what lol

When I said I want to know the cause of death, I was speaking generally, when the death Cert states COD: cardiac arrest.- I was not addressing this case specifically. I believe in this case the COD was low oxygen- as explained by the prosecution experts in this case.

Oh! Going back to your original post you were asking for the autopsy results and cause of death.. oops...as you asked..

"I just have to say this: It is my understanding that the Medical Examiner stated the cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest"--- Now, I am no doctor, but in my work in medical malpractice reviewing hundreds of death certificates and autopsies, I have always had a problem with cardiac arrest as being the cause of death. I think it is actually absurd and here is why: what is CP arrest: It means the heart stopped. that is all it means. so, of course when people die, their heart stops: What I want to know is what caused the heart to stop? Additionally in this case the ME ruled this case a homicide. I have not read the autopsy report- so apparently the ME will not testify that Mr. Floyd died from asphyxia, so what is the cause or reason for the homicide?

..... darn, I thought I had the autopsy results for you at my fingertips but I do not....

Can anyone bump the autopsy for @ilovewings ?

Wow that was kind of rude on Mr Nelson’s part. Asking if he was talking and she tried to say something and he cut in with it’s yes or no. Actually no it’s not. He was able to talk but he wasn’t speaking normally.

#DerekChauvin - NEW: For the first time a woman sat in the seat designated for Chauvin family/representative.

#DerekChauvinTrial - NEW: Juror issue this morning. The following are notes from the pool reporter. NOTE: Not exact quotes. I will tweet the info in a series of tweets.

A juror, a white woman, comes in and sits in the witness stand.
CAHILL: We’ve had some concerns expressed. Have you had any outside information about what’s going on in the trial? Like other attorneys that have not appeared on TV?

JUROR: I did turn on the TV and saw a lawyer. I didn’t know who she was. I turned it off.
CAHILL: Do you know what channel it was on?
JUROR: No, I turned the TV on to watch a show I record. I noticed the courtroom, saw the lawyer, and turned off

CAHILL: Do you remember what she looked like?
JUROR: She had dark hair.
CAHILL: Do you have indication from family members about what’s going on in the trial?
JUROR: No.

CAHILL: Anything from your mother-in-law texting?
JUROR: My mother-in-law texted me and said it looked like a bad day for the defense.
CAHILL: No book deal in the works?
JUROR: No. I don’t know what to expect.

CAHILL: These are unique times. This is unique jury service. So we just have to check out what we’ve heard. Anything else we should know about? Contact from the outside, in?
JUROR: “No, and if anyone approached me, I would report it.”

Judge thanks and excuses the juror.
CAHILL to attys: Any motions based on that?
SCHLEICHER: Not for now, your honor. But I think it would be good to make a record of her demeanor.
(judge cuts him off, seeming to suggest now is not the time)

JUDGE: There was a report there might have been some outside media. I find that she was genuinely surprised. There was not inappropriate conduct by her or from anyone on the outside.

Note from pool reporter that Chauvin's representative seat was filled by a a woman today of Asian descent. Chauvin's wife/ex-wife is of Asian descent. NO CONFIRMATION yet that it's her.

Eric Nelson is now up on cross-exam of Dr. Lindsey Thomas. He asks about the size of #GeorgeFloyd's heart. Weight was 540 grams, Thomas says slightly enlarged, but by some categories it would be not be considered enlarged.

Nelson hypothetical: Take police out of it, no drugs, if you found #GeorgeFloyd dead at home what would your cause of death be? Thomas: In that very narrow set of circumstances I would probably conclude his cause of death was his heart disease

"in the absence of these other realities" love this woman

This witness seems to get confused easily.
You would think in her profession she would know the approximate weight of an average human adult heart. She didn’t seem to have a clue. MOO

The difference between these hypotheticals and reality is.. George Floyd had a knee in his neck by LAW ENFORCEMENT and his hand bent back for over 9 minutes. The drugs alone did not kill him nor did the heart issues. Move on.

HAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THE ANALOGY BETWEEN TAKING THE POLICE OUT OF THIS AND TAKING JOHN WILKES BOOTH OUT LINCOLN’s ASSASSINATION. Lol

Surprising moment that did not fare well for defense. Nelson referring to Canadian Study regarding approx. 3000 out of 1.1 million arrests were prone position arrests and zero deaths resulted from these prone position arrests. Witness states it is fascinating how Canada manages zero deaths considering "virtually every forensic pathologist in the United States has probably had an officer involved death like this."
I don't think that was the gotcha moment Nelson was aiming for.

It seems to me that this prosecutor is done with this drug talk. He’s trying to get this points in quickly and I’m like that when I’m agitated as well. JMO

Nelson was so intellectually dishonest I'd be pissed as Blackwell is.
