Voir dire a witness in the middle of a trial?
I'm confused

  • #502
Review completed by shift supervisor

Same questions we asked earlier. Groan

  • #503
When a use of force incident becomes critical he doesn’t have involvement anymore

  • #504
Witness did not complete the force review

  • #505
In this case were you allowed to watch the entirety of the body cam

Witness yes

  • #506
State back on

  • #507
Judge wants clarity on force review

  • #508
Whether he completed the review or not he should be able to render an opinion as a supervisor after seeing the body cam. This is crazy!

  • #509
State now asking his questions again about force reviews

Going round in circles.

Witness was DC supervisor so it would be powerful if he stated he thought force was unreasonable

Nelson is desperate not to get this admitted. And we all know why. MOO

  • #511
State is trying to point out witness has to make this judgement call each time he does a forcright review ala the policy so he does have the experience or lack of foundation to give a limited opinion

  • #512
Nelson back at it saying he hasn’t completed review

  • #513
He's allowed it!

  • #514
Thank you! so that question makes sense. The officer may have thought he felt a pulse. IMO

Keep in mind we have seen/heard that he shares with the others that he did not feel a pulse.

  • #515
State can ask specific question

  • #516
Thank you finally some common sense! They should’ve let up when he stopped resisting. Obvious answer!

  • #517
Anyone else notice this witness keeps cautiously side glancing at Chauvin...

  • #518
State

Based on review do you have an opinion on when the restraint should have ended
Witness:
Yes when Mr Floyd was offering up no resistance

  • #519
I literally cheered when the Judge allowed the question and witness answered the obvious.

Imo, 3rd degree is met.

Where is the jury sitting in the courtroom? Witness box is on one side of the judge and is the jury on the other side? Thank you!
