Smith says he had to tell one of the officers to get out of his way.

"I wanted to get my patient, to my rig, as quickly as possible and so I can begin my resuscitation efforts."

Smith: In a living person, there should be a pulse there. I did not feel one. I suspected this patient to be dead, in lay terms.

Eldridge:And at the moment that you're checking for this carotid pulse is the officer still positioned on top of Mr. Floyd.

Smith: Yes.

Omgggg just clicked on the feed, showing close up of GF inside the ambulance. Look at the bruises on his face...Not surprised, as we know his face was smashed on the pavement, just sayin.

Pic showing minor injuries ex 60. Witness points to bruise on shoulder and mouth

Ex 61 is graphic image of GF with blood around his mouth

Also see blood on head

Injures not live threatening

Question re the blood beneath GF's nose:

Witness: "It was a superficial injury, not life-threatening imo."

Does a cardiac arrest require a lot of hands on

Witness “yes”

IMO this guy is struggling in this position. I think he feels emotional but doesn’t want to show it xx

  • #313
Mr. smith is getting agitated it seems.

Eldridge: Had there been any, did you observe anyone rendering any medical care chest compressions when you arrived?

Smith: When I arrived on scene, there was no medical services being provided to the patient.

Smith says he took of the handcuffs that were still on George Floyd.

I agree. One second he seems upset or shaken up, the next second he seems agitated.

It must be difficult for paramedics to testify for the prosecution against a police officer. At the end of the day, paramedics have to return to work with LE.

Eldridge: So what was your concern working in cardiac arrest alone and needing fire to come code three?

Smith: There's a lot to be done and a little bit of time.

Eldridge: ...applying a shock would not be something you could do at that point?

Smith: Correct.

Eldridge asks what it means when Smith says flatline or Asystole.

Smith: It means you're dead.

That is from your timline... do you know where you got that information from? where did that 'information for EMS' come from?

20:27:21 - Information for EMS, PD has him restrained on ground

I am really going to have to find the time to line up these times with cam footage so I can see what exactly was happening at these times. Right now it seems very confusing.

Refer to my original timeline, here is a screenshot of exhibit 51 from that (I'll do timeline update later as MUCH MORE to add).

This visual shows that the dispatcher, that was on the stand, got information from field and input into her screen.... (her ID is in the third column). It also show that Car #330 called it in as to the code 3 (Chauvin/Tao car that day.) You can see the timestamp in the screen capture from Day one Washington Post video if you want to go back to that video and review such, or click on the three dots to read the transcript.

ETA: Would help if I attach photo/screenshot!
