Hi all. Wine for me. Afternoon of a bank holiday weekend over the pond
Interested to see how this witness is being used.
I noticed that. Chauvin seemed to be pulling GF’s wrist back for most of the time - an additional restraint method? What really amazes me is that it looked like he had his hand around Floyd's wrist almost the entire time. After Floyd stops breathing, he moved his fingers down and appeared to be checking his pulse.
Yes! Back in the first thread I mentioned that I was once refused my munchkins at Dunkin Donuts because the cashier said I gave her a fake bill. If a police officer tapped on my window moments later and stuck a gun in my face, I would have had a panick attack myself, especially if he was yelling and cursing at me to put my hands on the wheel. This is what I keep thinking about. 20 bucks. We don’t even know if GF even knew it was fake. Even if he did...Police are suddenly pointing a gun in his face. It was such a weird escalation by LE when he wasn’t being violent to anyone. Seemed to be high, yes, but not violent. Then it’s obvious to me that he’s having a major panic attack (I know them well). The whole entire episode seemed unnecessary to me. To end with him dying right there on the street over twenty dollars is insane.
I do hope that perhaps someone from LE goes beyond the discussion that he should have discontinued restraints when not resisting, but also give testimony on procedures as to giving aid during medical emergency, especially when a LE contributed to such medical emergency MOO
PloegerCompletely agree! There does seem to be a bit of tip toeing going on around that area and IMO the state haven't pushed it far enough yet. But I guess they have to be careful which witness is qualified to bring it in, as we saw with the foundation objection to Pleuker (spelling?) yesterday.
