Maximal restraint technique

Witness. That is referred to as hobble. To protect them and officers. Attach a cord from the waist. Attached by the ankles and bringing them up to waist. Patient cannot be transported in that position

If it is used then a supervisor has to be called to the scene.

Nelson just stated that chase hobble wasn’t used it was a de-escalation of force using the critical decision making model!!

That is the critical decision making model in action
Witness yes

So far Nelson has made no points that I have heard.

Situationally dependent. They have a qualifier to them.

Witness. Yes I would agree with that

Ex 231 being brought up

Crisis intervention policy

Making witness read it all. Phone does not permit me to catch all that :)

(Hey thanks, UK, you’re doing great. I have Day 4 notes that are about 20 pages long, including the updated exhibits list - I haven’t even posted them yet bc there are so many typos and written in a short handed language that I myself can barely understand. Cheers.)

He wasn't implying it at all, he right out asked him if it would be considered a de-escalation, and the Chief agreed it would be.

He also just got him to agree that all of the policies are 'situational'. All of them are there IF the situation allows.

This is what I found in reading policies/statutes... that this this or this isn't allowed.. but WAIT.. it is allowed if this or this or this is happening. JMO

The Chief is pointing out the unclear manner in which he is asking these questions...guess Nelson is going for some smoke and mirrors ie confusion

State objecting nelsons blurb

Now he is on about crowd interactions

this judge is fast on rulings and very sure of himself

Challenging to cross examine a witness who is trained and experienced in interrogation, I would think! ;)

Nelson is doing a great job in defense (IMO), aside from my thoughts about the whole tragic event of 5/25/20.

I am not following this very well today and as such I am not going to keep transcribing

Take care all xx
