Sounded like something they had already discussed while doing the jury instructions though. Judge said something like you are trying to get something in that I already decided wasn't.

JB: Why is it necessary to continue applying deadly restraint to a man who was defenseless was handcuffed, who has not resisting, who is not breathing, doesn't have a pulse...the ambulance shows up and then they continue doing it.

JB: Look at all the evidence, consider all of it, reasonable officer. Reasonable officers are not magic words...it becomes a reasonable officer because you apply those words, reasonable is as reasonable does.

Blackwell is now going through the studies Nelson brought up in his closing arguments.

JMHO but Nelson did use "reasonable officer" offer again but was never even implying you just "apply that phrase" to his client and now he's reasonable me. Blackwell saying "reasonable is as reasonable does" is true....but that's not exactly a strong argument against what he's saying Nelson basically said (which he didn't even say). Nelson tried to argue the actions were of a reasonable officer, but I don't think that worked but still.

Yeah, so I liked Blackwell mostly but him arguing about the studies that didn't measure the "oxygen reserve". Yeah well one of the very first things one of the studies measured was someone in prone of their oxygen levels and their breathing BEFORE they even started putting weights onto their back. I shared some of them here so I'll have to go back and grab the links again but that's just a misrepresentation of the study IMO.
