You’ve heard that George Floyd died because his heart was too big. But he died because Mr. Chauvin’s heart was too small!

Actually someone posted a tweet saying during defense’s closing Argument the jury was getting weary and restless.

I was watching it live on CBS and a reporter from there said their reporter inside said they were very attentive throughout, and taking notes when both sides were up.

I've watched it all and never became bored. I imagine some jurors were very attentive taking notes. You always have those who are riveted then some like the thirty year old man who's been reported as sleeping during even testimony which is bothersome to me on any jury.

Imo

That was amazing!

They can use their collective memory. That will help with the sleepy juror. JMO

That seemed to end abruptly.

I hope they get a chance to deliberate today/tonight. I would feel some relief to finally be able to talk about it. JMO

Okay not that it matters but I'm pretty sure the witness said TWO pills were found in the car.....?
https://twitter.com/cbsnewspath/status/1379934945175552003?s=21

Isn't that just a plain wrong account of the actual evidence? https://twitter.com/cbsnewspath/status/1379934945175552003?s=2

Again not that is really matters but when you talk about making stories and not using facts, saying there was "we are talking about one pill ladies and gentlemen" is....I don't know.
There was one pill found in the squad car which had GF's dna on it. The other two pills were found in the Mercedes GF was driving, but did not own. The one pill from the squad car is the one defense focused on.

‘Shading the truth’ was objected to and sustained! Blackwell expression was like “Seriously?” State didn’t object at all during defense closing!!

but did they have a reason to object? I know from other trials I've watched, they try not to object, but the lawyer giving the statement also tries really hard not to give a reason to object. JMO

About carbon monoxide in the bloodstream:

A Challenging Half-Life
After you inhale carbon monoxide, it attaches to hemoglobin proteins in your blood. Hemoglobin’s job is to bind oxygen from your lungs and then transport the oxygen to where it is needed in your body. But the CO in your body binds more easily to the hemoglobin than oxygen does, and so it effectively takes the place that oxygen would have used to travel, leaving the oxygen with no way to get to your heart, brain, and other cells.

Now that the CO has attached to the hemoglobin, the two together form carboxyhemoglobin. The attraction between CO and hemoglobin is so strong that the hemoglobin will not release the CO, as it would oxygen.

Carboxyhemoglobin needs to dissipate for your oxygen to once again travel as it should. Carboxyhemoglobin has a half-life of four hours, according to the Iowa State University Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering’s study on the health effects of CO Poisoning. Whatever amount you have in your system, it will take four hours to eliminate half of it. You now have half the original amount of CO left in your system. It will take an additional four hours for the reminder to be reduced by half again, and the equation repeats accordingly. How Long Does Carbon Monoxide Last? | Newsome Melton.

Judge Cahill is now going through more instructions for jurors. He’s walking them through filling out verdict forms, etc.

"During your deliberations, you must not let bias, prejudice, action, sympathy, or public opinion, influence your decision.”

https://twitter.com/anavilastra/status/1384249764888277006?s=21

Judge Cahill: Remember that it is fair to find the defendant guilty if the evidence and the law require it. On the other hand, it is fair to find the defendant not guilty if you're not convinced of his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Judge Cahill swears in the deputy and sends the jurors with him to start deliberations. He holds back two jurors who are the alternates.

That final statement was so powerful and is the simple truth of why George died that day.

Thank you so much. I guess it makes sense then, as the State didn't specify which car they were referring to what the defense referred to, ah, muddy waters a bit.

Also --- interesting swearing of the Deputy...

I am glad that they are beginning to deliberate. I am worried as I usually am. Justice for Mr. Floyd and his family!
