Yeah, but youll have to watch some video, there may be some edited clips to just her but around 2 hours 11 minutes she speaks and then around 2 hours 15 minutes she is speaking to mostly reporters after talking to the crowd.

In that exchange a man asks her "as a black man, despite all of the efforts I feel like nothing changes. And George Floyd is waking people up yet nothings happened despite the rhetoric. What needs to happen that's different this year than all the years before?"

She replies " we are looking for a guilty lty verdict. " And later on "I'm hoping that we get a verdict that says guilty guilty guilty and if we don't then we cannot go away."
Same man"not for manslaughter right?"
She replies " oh no not manslaughter. no no no this is guilty for murder. I don't know if it's first degree but as far as I'm concerned it's first degree".

The courts have nothing to fear in that case.
The jurors understand the case and they understand the charges.
She clearly does not.
I'd say they're safe enough...

Jury begins deliberating whether Derek Chauvin is guilty of murdering George Floyd

“”The state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant’s use of force was not authorized by law,” Cahill told the jury. “You are the sole judges of whether [the] witnesses [are] to be believed and of the weight to be given [to a witness’s] testimony.””

[...]

“"This case is exactly what you thought when you saw that video," Schleicher said. "It is exactly that. You can believe your eyes."

"It's what you felt in your gut," he continued. "It's what you now know in your heart. This wasn't policing. This was murder. The defendant is guilty of all three counts. All of them, and there is no excuse."”

IMO, the judge instructed the jurors not to watch the new and to base their deliberations solely on the evidence presented to them. IOW, even IF they had accidentally seen her comments while channel surfing or whatever, what she said does not constitute evidence presented at trial, and jurors have to be trusted to follow the judge's instruction.
The judge must feel that Maxine Waters statement could have an affect on the jury because he said this.
Cahill denied the motion but told Nelson, “I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.”

I think the judge didn't want to grant a mistrial at the very end and instead let the jury complete their duty's. Then have things sorted out on an appeal. JMO

This case has been discussed by so many on every single social media platform available for some time now. I really have no issue with it. I do believe in Jurors getting a verdict right and just. A few have disappointed me over time. Yet most are serious with the task at hand and base their decision on facts presented.

True, but even in the case of legally prescribed methamphetamine, amphetamine, pre-existing hypertension etc., would be a contraindication IMO. I do not believe most physicians would feel comfortable prescribing these drugs if there were concerns of high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, etc. I think that even in young, healthy adults, many Drs would want to do an EKG, and possibly a cardiologist referral first. JMO.

You are correct! Stimulants are a BIG no-no in uncontrolled hypertension. No caring and research-based provider would prescribe it when uncontrolled hypertension is present. Sometimes when ADHD symptoms influence quality of life, we work the person up through Cardiology (EKG, Echo etc) and will control blood pressure with a beta blocker, calcium channel blocker or another antihypertensive/antihypertensives and once blood pressure is stable for a couple of months, we consider a very low dose stimulant and closely monitor blood pressure. But there are also much safer meds for ADHD etc. when hypertension is present, including atomoxetine (Strattera).

yes they are, I've been watching the live streams.

It allows Minnesota to get help from other states. Nebraska and Ohio are sending State Troopers to help with security.

ahhh thanks! that helps explain it.

you stay safe too Tippy Lynn, I know you said you are close. Just stay home and wait for the verdict and hang out with us ;)

When the verdict is in, can someone @ me please? My messages are off due to not wanting to be hounded on a case that I’m a verified insider on. I spend a lot of time outside with my blind father and I’m not always around a tv when we weren’t watching the actual trial.

Do you have twitter?

Thank you. My concerns aren't for myself. I'm very concerned for all the children, elderly and business owners. :(

I agree. In a couple of cases where I was disappointed with the verdict, it wasn't that the jury got it wrong, imo, or that they were irresponsible, but that the prosecution either didn't make a strong enough case or the charges were too high or a mismatch to the evidence presented. In those cases, the verdict was disappointing, but the jury did their job in the right way - they went by the evidence presented, followed instructions, and considered the charges.

In this case, I think the state made a strong case and the charges are appropriate to what was presented.

My faith in the jury is not wavering at this point.

Imagine how hard this is on GF's Family and loved ones.

I would love to think 24 hours, but have a feeling it will be at least two or three days.
I have said 9pm. But, they may discuss, agree and come back tomorrow with a verdict after sleeping on it overnight.

I don't see it mentioned here... but I saw on one of the newscasts I was watching that they were expecting to deliberate until 7pm... not sure how true that is and no way I can remember where it was lol so will say JMO

The State sure did downplay the effects that the drugs in this case have on a person with the health issues GF had. I hope people don't take their statements as good medical advice. Those street drugs are very dangerous. JMO

I always worry about stealth jurors. I don't understand why, for example, a potential juror will say s/he can vote for the death penalty when they can't or won't. It seems to me that being a juror is a great responsibility, and not something to be toyed with. Then there's jury nullification; not hugely worried about that in this case, but I believe that happened in the OJ case. It's so hard to remember all the exact evidence they have, versus what we see. I hope they get it right here. I agree that they are ethical far more often than not. (Sorry for rambling).
