Hmm felt like he was suggesting something else as he mentioned other legal proceedings. Wonder if other evidence could come out in the next officers trials?
But what could possibly come out that would give the family of the man he murdered a peace of mind?

Personally, though legally he is a murderer I disagree with that verdict.
What do you think the verdict should have been?

I think maybe he meant the strict sentence likely to come will give them “peace of mind” but it was a terrible and cryptic way of saying that, if that’s even what he meant
He has no way of knowing what his sentence will be at this stage. Only Judge knows that, hopefully.

Nothing I can think of. Don’t see how he can put more blame on other officers. Mental health doesn’t appear to be a factor. I genuinely don’t know why he said that!!

A resurrection.

I wonder if chauvin knows the other 3 are going to plead guilty.

All MOO

I don't think DC can come up with even a weak apology because I think he still, this very moment, thinks what he did is A-OK and he would do it again in the same circumstances.

Peace of mind, pffft. Is he gonna go find the "real" killer like OJ?

MOO

That’s exactly what I came on to ask. What was he on about?? What information could possibly come out that would make them feel better?????
If I were a member of Floyd's family, DC's statement would have made me feel worse.

Well, the writing is on the wall for their cases, prosecution gave them a nice long mention or several today...

The only thing I can think of is he's pleading guilty to the federal charges, but I don't think that's very likley.

I agree with that but I’m sure there’s also him wanting to appeal this to the highest place possible - and I don’t think saying anything that would make him sound guilty and taking responsibility etc would help any appeal(s).

Ok how is he gonna sit there and say he shares his condolences but there will be more things coming out that will give them a peace of mind?????

He couldn't even make eye contact with the Floyd family while speaking.

Interesting that none of killers Siblings spoke. Then again they are not the fave golden child. Mom's Bravado was disgraceful.

Very good point. And I agree, he will try to appeal this on every level available.

I was very bothered by that statement. That said, I have been thinking about what he meant.

There are three possibilities in my mind:

1. The other three will plead guilty, thus making it so the family does not have to go through another trial.

2. The murderer will withdraw his appeal and go to prison quickly/quietly thus giving the family peace of mind that they will not have to endure all the proceedings.

3. That the murderer thinks some evidence will be produced that will make it so that the family will hear the Mr. Floyd died in a manner unrelated to the actions of this murderer. This is far-fetched but I do think that this murderer has some very faulty thinking about his culpability and the affect of his behavior on the Floyd family.

Beyond that, I can't think of anything that could come out and give this family a peace of mind.

JMHO

What exactly was DC referring to?
I'm confused?
It's the kind of thing somebody says if evidence is about to show he wasn't even there that day..
???

He was stumbling over his words forcing himself to say something. He's still believes this is just a temporary inconvenience. He's hollow when it comes to any emotion outside himself.

I actually couldn’t believe she said that. Was inappropriate on so many levels
