I'm beating a dead horse here, I know -- and yes, I know we have gone over this again and again -- but doggone it (no pun intended), why didn't any dogs pick up Jacob's scent? Did I understand correctly that his scent stopped at the driveway or that was just his footprint. Where were the footprints if had to walk down the road with this freak. Did he just keep on walking down that road and then somehow get dragged onto DR's property? Did another car pull up on the highway (as planned?) and off they all went? Did this villian stuff Jacob in a large knapsack and carry him? How come there wasn't more forensic evidence? There wasn't any snow on the ground and I don't think it was raining. If the perp was DR, then he had it planned out where he would put Jacob. With no one around, he could easily have gagged and tied him up, then put him somewhere without anyone hearing or seeing him. I mean if the place was deserted, perp had nothing to fear. No dogs come running up to the front door or to the barns or sheds or woods or anything. Not being critical here -- after all, we searched for a young man who committed suicide and he was very close to the park entrance. Dogs did not find him. Maybe it was because they were not cadaver dogs I guess.

I think a good lingering question in this investigation is why they left the driveway towards the woodpile? Did the dog lead that way? Did someone see a fresh trail? Once they get to the woodpile DR calls 911.

The picture of that woodpile is incredible.

Where did they get all of the trees? Just wow.

Is the wood furnace in the house or is it an exterior system?

Wood ash really hides decomposition as well as speeds the process.

I'm pretty sure right from that woods next to it. Plenty of trees to thin out. I think DR's dad has always complained about the woodpile, so DR makes it 35 feet tall in a rage imo, just like I think he set fire to his dads life works imo.

As far as I know, there has been no indication that anyone left the driveway and headed towards the woodpile. Is this just your assumption?

The farm is in a rural area. There are trees everywhere. You can get a lot of firewood from just one tree. I'm confused about why you are concerned about where he got the trees.

My family owns property in a rural area. We like to keep the property neat and clean, including our wood piles. Are we hiding something?

DR "They're Stealing My Wood!!!"

It takes a lot of time and energy to cut down down trees and organize a wood pile. I wouldn't want anyone stealing my wood, either.

I agree wit that!

There is just so much more that goes along with DR, bringing him to a POI in 2010.

35 feet tall huh??? More like 4. It would be very helpful if you stop spreading lies in your attempt in crucifying someone's character.

I lived in the country too. The farm of DR has a lot of farmland.

For us, getting that amount of firewood would be impossible and we have woods.

Have you seen it? Looks really high

Would you like me to take a picture from a quarter mile away?

Well, it's not impossible for everyone. You can buy fire wood, too. And it gets expensive. Though, I doubt DR bought his fire wood. But it's another reason to not want anyone stealing it.

Why a quarter mile away? (modsnip) With that being said, I do stand corrected. One part of the wood pile does peak to approx. just under 20 feet, the rest of it is 6 feet. The wood that is stacked higher is the good wood that's been cut and split. Anyone who has burned wood for heat and has gone through this labor intensive operation of getting ready for winters to come, as it's best to cut it while you can, than be trying to cut wood when you're 70 years old. It's called thinking ahead. Not only that, but wood that is stacked directly on the ground is likely to be sacrificed to rot. So to get the most out of your labor, the rule of thumb, the higher the better. Most people just are not willing to go through the extra labor it calls for to stack wood this high. So, in an attempt to get actual FACTS, that some here are still attempting to define, I went to visit the Rassier's for the first time. DR was working still, so I spoke with BR and RR for about an hour and a half. I wish our conversation would've been recorded so everyone can know and visually see the emotions of baseless accusations causes. It doesn't affect just the accused, it goes way deeper. As RR said, and any parent I'm sure would agree with, your child is a part of you. When they hurt, you hurt. We spoke about my case and what it did to myself and my family. We spoke about the search warrant in 2010 the way they were treated by LE. RR being grabbed by here arm and thrown to the ground and then threatened of arrest. BR has been living with prostate cancer for 20 years.....20 years. I personally have never heard of that kind of fight in someone to my recollection. And why? He wants to live to see his sons name cleared. As time passes, he told me his hope of that is fading. So Sasquatch, I've asked this before and nobody has step up to the plate and provided me with one piece of actual evidence that suggest DR was involved in any way shape or form, so lay it on me, I want to hear it. Neither your or anyone else's gut feeling on a statement he made, or how he stacks his wood, or that he lives with his parents means anything. I just spoke with 2 of the nicest people I have ever spoken to. BR also has had no problem with the wood piles either so there's another of your statements that can get tossed as BS. I would like to ask everyone to think of how your statements are going to affect someone's life before you go throwing things out on the (modsnipped bogus link) The hurt affects more than you realize, and in no shape or form is it fair in anyway. And Sas, I know what's coming....."But, but, they still have things that are waiting to be tested." (modsnip)

I also see a picture on the link you provided that shows him cutting wood....and from what I see, it looks like it's something he enjoy's doing. A taller than average woodpile doesn't make someone guilty of kidnapping, right?

I never said he was guilty of kidnapping, as I have said before I don't know who took jacob, I was just pointing out that the wood pile shown in the pic is higher than 4 feet. BTW, I am sympathetic to what happened to you. I would be as bitter as you are if it was me.

I realized that you were not accusing now that I reread it, I apologize. It's not about just me, it's about all the other people and families involved in getting the shaft due to LE misguiding the public and not admitting they were wrong....they're human, it's going to happen. Again, I apologize.

You've given us an important lesson about how this all effects suspects.

Wow, that IS a huge wood pile. lol. It wasn't that large when I drove past there a couple years ago. I don't live in the country, how do they get the wood down to burn it? Just curious.

Even Patty Wetterling has said how nice DR's parents are, so I have no trouble believing any of that.
