How would you defend him? He wouldn't even give an interview to BCA.

I wouldn't defend him. I just expected her to say "investigation is ongoing.....can't comment" sort of thing. It was refreshing to hear her candid statements. MOO

squad's lights may have been off but big bright street lights right there where he shot.

Thanks for that info from your bike ride today. Any chance you can take a photo next time? Only if it's convenient and safe.

If true, it sounds like a bad idea.

BCA's actual statement says "all squad lights were off.'
Whatever that means? Flashing lights and headlights off? Only flashing lights off?

i missed the first part of the presser...however one question was pretty tough asking the chief why the family had to wait for days to speak with her as she was "backpacking in the mountains"??? The Aussie reporters are really trying to figure out what goes in this country...guns everywhere...shootings routine...then the cop who shot for no apparent reason does not have to talk. It really does make us sound like the wild west to the rest of the world. Justine had commented to many friends about her feelings on our gun laws and how much better it was in Australia. How prophetic!

So. Body cams were deactivated. Lights were off while driving down a dark alley. Was "startled" by a loud noise indicating they were already on edge (why?).

Something is super fishy y'all.

why would approaching from behind be better? It seem to be quite the opposite.

My point was again they may not have seen pretty white blond woman approaching from the front. IF she approached from behind they didn't see who it was. The cop obviously should not have shot her period. But I'm talking to thos who just assume she aproached from the front and thus they would have seen her before. Jeez.

Wow...and this is straight from law enforcement ...a tox screen has been requested to see if "ambien" was in Justine's system...they could be considering using that as a defense. I get that for some people that drug can have some strange effects but still why would it justify murder? And honestly with the profile of Justine she does not seem like someone that would take sleep aids.

Even if she did how, does it justify a cop having itchy fingers? this is insanity. Boy, I wish there was cameras or witnesses.

You can't say "straight from LE" and not provide a link.

sorry you are correct....so watching my local news here in MInneapolis and an extremely solid newscaster is just reporting that this test was requested by the atty for Noor . That is as much link as I have and I guess if it is never mentioned again we will deem it fake news but this is a local reporter who has been on wcco for years. I guess we will see.

And so it begins, blame the victim.

no kidding...her finance was out of town...might she have taken an ambien...sure...lets just say it made her a bit out of it and maybe acting strange but so what. Cops on night beats probably are faced with people that have taken all sorts of things.

still not sure why it would cause for him to shoot her, she could have been a fleeing rape victim. If I was assaulted in a dark alley I'd race towards a police car hysterically panicked may even pound on the door to save me.
