Yes it does. Both officers Noor and Wilson could have easily avoided murdering another human being. Neither were in imminent danger for their lives when they pulled the trigger.

We will have to agree to disagree. Since this thread is not about Brown I will not get into a debate about it. With respect to Noor, has there been anything new reported in the media today?

I don't think they were looking for dirt, but who knows. I think it was to gather facts and to have a full investigation. I would want my family to encourage a search warrant if it was me and my home. They can look all they want they aren't going to find anything that's justifies officer Noor shooting and killing her the way he did.

Then why not get a search warrant for Noors house?

Damond’s Australian family will fly in to Minneapolis for the service, which will be held on Friday, August 11th at 7pm at the Lake Harriet Band Shell. The venue, often used for concerts and community events, can accommodate about 1000 people.

He denied the move was in response to the shooting death of Justine Damond, who was killed by Officer Mohamed Noor on July 15 when she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault happening in the alley behind her home.

That is not what is being disputed. Was he in imminent danger when he pulled the trigger? Could he have easily avoided killing another human being and still have had Brown apprehended? That is the topic at hand and is the one aspect that are similar between Noor and Wilson. Again, they both could have avoided killing another human being. That is indisputable.

It is not indisputable. We will have to agree to disagree...

Sure, but understand if LE and their apologists continue to have that attitude and not see the alternative ways of handling these incidents, innocent people like Justine are going to continue to be murdered. Which creates distrust and sometimes hatred for LE that will in turn make their jobs more dangerous.

And likewise, if BLM and their supporters continue to justify their violent anti-cop rhetoric, and continue to instigate hatred and vitriol against all of the police, there will continue to be ambushes and assassinations of officers. And that will only bring more self defense shootings in the streets when officers are in fear of the local citizens.

Jmo i don't think the squad was parked/ in park, they were at the end of the alley and Probably even moving to exit when Justine "slapped" the squad to get them to stop. As she approached the drivers door Noor shot her.

This thread is for discussion of the Justine Damond case. Threads are case specific, so please leave discussion of the other thousands of cases out of here.

Stay on topic.

Do we know for sure they didn't search his house?

The media obtained Justine's warrant, I assume they searched for all warrants connected to the case, including any sealed warrants, that's usually how they work.

Yes true, because the reports did say there were 2 warrants. The other one was for the alley I believe, which makes sense.

All parties would be much better served if there was an overall greater respect for the sanctity of life.
MPD were saying the right things but have they been walking the talk?

I'm not convinced Noor shot Damond in self defense.

A warrant for an alley? Public property? Idk about that.

just curious...are you then thinking accident or he wanted to shoot her for some reason.

I think she unexpectedly appeared at the window of the driver's side door. He had his gun out and shot at the figure by the door without any thought or regard for that person, his partner, or anything else. He just did it and probably immediately regretted it. Kind of like when you say something and as soon as the words leave your mouth, you wish you hadn't said it.

He simply didn't think, at all, before he fired his weapon and he's going to have to be held accountable for that.
