Found Deceased MN - Kara Blevins, 27, pregnant, Akeley, 2 Feb 2018

Don't be too surprised at the lack of Blevin's family outcry - I don't think she is that close to them other than grandpa DB who is indeed linked to Gerald Blevins - other family has different last names. If you look at her friends list, there are plenty of concerned friends and family with her photo as their profile pic.

The boyfriend's arrest was on Jan 8th which was his 4th probation violation on a 2015 felony possession conviction. http://pa.courts.state.mn.us/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=1617577340 He was released into treatment on the 8th or possibly before and I realize this skirts the line but I feel it is relevant to Kara's wellbeing and the possible circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Is it possible she checked herself into treatment to be with him? Have all the treatment centers been checked? Hoping for a positive outcome...

The only treatment center around here is Pine Manor, as far as I know. If she went to the cities, then she could've joined Teen Challenge, I suppose.

Kara did not finish high school and does not appear to have a job. Teen Challenge takes only private health insurance, which Kara unlikely has. Even if she had some means to pay for it (treatment is in the thousands of dollars) or could get into Pine Manor on Medicaid or with a treatment voucher she'd tell her daughters that Mom was going to be away, she'd not just disappear.

Is she an addict or recovered? Is that in MSM?
ETA: maybe he is an absconder and she is with him? People leave rehab all the time (and addicts are very good at figuring out how to get out when they want to).

No clue if she's recovered or not, but you'd think, having children and being pregnant, she wouldn't simply disappear. I hope that's the case and she turns up soon, confused as to why everyone is worried sick. I never knew the boyfriend, so I have no clue what he's like.

Sorry for the double post. They just found her body in a wooded area not far from where she was last seen. No further details yet.

Oh no!
Despite all the threads here at WS that end really badly, I was really hoping (and suspecting) that perhaps it was an issue of an argument with her mom and storming off (and hiding out) as a result.

I'm so very sorry to read this latest update.
RIP Kara.

ETA:
How large is that forest? Was my map correct in that it's approximately 68 miles away from her town of Akeley? When I try to map it, it automatically goes to the campground area of Chippewa Forest, so I'm unsure.

The news reports have always had that same limited information about her disappearance. LE has been super tight lipped. Im assuming now that the transfer to Cass county was the result of information obtained during the investigation vs an issue of resources. They must have someone on their radar, at least I sincerely hope so.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says authorities found her body at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area in the Chippewa National Forest in rural Akeley. Her body was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the case by the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, BCA, Akeley Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.

I'll be interested to see what the autopsy reveals. We've had people wonder into the woods and die of an OD, and I've heard that Kara was a meth addict. Would she have wondered into the woods in the winter, though? Since she texted that she had a ride, then someone was definitely with her.

On Friday the 2nd, she was last known to be walking along Howard Lake Rd, Akeley (Cass County) at or near 5pm - Winter coat, white scarf, no hat or gloves

Well, maybe the autopsy will reveal some info in to what may have happened to her. This has ended very sadly.
