I hope you are right and it's not just random searches.

Like you, I also believe there will be an imminent arrest - whether Maddi is found or not.
I think LE is also watching AF very carefully after they make these kinds of announcements about new areas to look and checking wells, windmill bases, etc. It lets AF know they are still looking, and that he can't relax. If he did dispose of Maddi in, let's say, an unmarked well, and he hears that the police are specifically searching old wells, AF might get nervous and think he needs to somehow move her to a different location, or go out and do a better job of hiding her. I hope they had enough evidence to support a warrant for tracking AF's vehicle 24/7.

Agreed.
And... sadly, I believe LE are no longer looking for an alive Madaline.
At what point did they think this was a recovery ?
My .02 is that they know something significant !
So sorry for her family.
Imo.

Why? Based on some facts you have or more just your hope? Trying to understand why so many people are so confident when, from my perspective, there is no evidence LE has any clue at all.

ETA I know, I know, everyone is going to say oh, LE knows so much more than we do. Yada yada yada. The fact remains we don't know so we cannot say we are confident based on our hopes that LE knows something.

Something that has concerned me, and I hope I'm wrong, is that LE is basing the van's travel on sightings or video rather than GPS. As a very common vehicle where I live (a couple of hours from Winona) I've been worried that it wasn't Maddi's van seen on highway 43, but a similar van.

When I say it's a very common van in a very common color, I see at least one or two every day and I wouldn't have even noticed except my friend has the same van and it's never her.

Speculation: reason to think that LE might not have GPS.

- Alexis Gabe, the ex-bf had the phone turned off and wrote down map directions on a piece of paper. He however got lost and had to turn his phone on, also LE found those handwritten directions in his sister's trash can.

- Felicia Johnson, the man charged with her murder had searched "most forested area of Houston" but her remains were not located until February 2023 (10 months later).

This case is different in that the time frame of the van's movements is much smaller, and LE publicly requested security/video/trail cam footage within 2-3 days, whereas it took weeks to figure it out for the two above cases.

I do hope that they have leads on getting more precise data/GPS info for where the van had been.

I stress that everything in this post is speculative.

ADMIN NOTE:

Folks, please do NOT bring rumors to Websleuths. If you can't link it to an approved source, you can't post it.

Things like "I read somewhere ..." or "I think I heard ..." etc are not approved sources.

When someone posts a rumor, it is time-consuming for our Mods to have to go through umpteen pages to find and remove all responses (and responses to those responses).

No link, no post !!

HMMMM.....
Wondering as well.

Even Scott Peterson went to Laci's vigil.
We all know how that went for him ... I'll go with Pommy's wager.

Sunday, 30 April

On behalf of Maddi's family, friends and Minnesota United, we are so thankful for the over 80 volunteers that came out to help with the search efforts yesterday. We were able to expand our search beyond our initial target areas and cover so much ground. Thank you for sticking through the rain and wind, especially at the end with that downpour. Mother nature left us with a spectacular rainbow after we wrapped up for the day. Thank you to the homeowners that we spoke with yesterday for allowing us to search the land that you own. We appreciate each and every one of you so much.

We also need to say thank you to everyone for your patience yesterday as the searches got underway. Your flexibility was amazing as we tweaked some of our plans with last minute changes.

We will post information about this upcoming searches after we connect Winona County Emergency Management, Winona Police Department, Fillmore County Sheriff's Office and Houston County Sheriff's Office. Please stay tuned!

LE hasn't seemed to give much attention to searching the river. Makes me think they have some solid electronic location information, but it's a large geograpical area.

Recently, in a MP case in Arizona - LE had cell phone pings to work with, but the area was so rural, it encompassed a 75 mile radius. I envision something similar in Maddi's case. LE has never wavered in the target area they are interested in. I'm confident, despite their silence on the subject of a POI - WPD will eventually make an arrest. Whether Maddi is found or not.

It's always been so bizarre to me, how a person who kills and conceals a victim. Just sits and waits for LE to find the body. How does that person not lose their everloving mind in the waiting?
LE honestly hasn't been able to search the river due to flooding. The Mississippi just reached its crest. So it has been to dangerous. River is just starting to go down here. I am 1 1/2 hour drive north of Winona.

What evidence do you have LE doesn't have any evidence? Do you know this for a fact? We have been on case upon case where we have seen LE & how they handle cases. They never come out & say what they have. I wish AF was squeaky clean. But his actions towards SS proved he isn't. His actions refusing to send clothes or a favorite toy with his kids is very strange. Refusing to search for Maddi, strange. But refusing to speak to her family is beyond over the edge. I had hoped Maddi would be found & reunited with her kids & family. But after a month nothing!!!!! Where is Maddi????

Good to know, thank you. Are you hearing anything about the search for Maddi?

Another volunteer search for Madeline Kingsbury occurred Saturday on the borders of Houston and Fillmore counties.

[...]

Over a hundred people showed up Saturday morning at the Yucatan State Wildlife area to continue the search for Kingsbury. Law enforcement believes it’s still an area where they may expect to find her.

Since no law enforcement officers took part in Saturday’s search, other organizations stepped up to gather volunteers. Minnesota United, a group dedicated to finding missing individuals based out of the Twin Cities, was the group to do so.

“We’re just here to be boots on the ground. Law enforcement gives us the area and we are here to coordinate and execute and really bring the community together and help the volunteers cover as much ground as we can,” said Eastling.
