I think that one of the most disturbing parts of the videos is that, after he was shot several times, ICE agents start playing with the body - rifling through his pockets, shoving him around, looking like pick pockets.
Very likely what they were doing. Recently it came out that ICE stole a teenager’s phone after detaining him and his father because the teen recorded them abusing him and his father.

Minneapolis shooting: parents of Alex Pretti say Trump officials are telling ‘sickening lies’

Two witnesses to the killing have said in sworn testimony that the intensive care nurse was not brandishing a weapon when he approached federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday.

One witness, who filmed the shooting from right behind Pretti, said federal agents tackled him after he came to help someone whom they had pushed to the ground.

Footage from the scene supports the assertion that Pretti is holding a phone, not a gun, when he was tackled and shot.

I think the killings have less to do with the victims and more to do with the people killing them. Undisciplined? Untrained? Unfit?

Exactly. The man on the ground who was shot multiple times is not the person at fault for his killing.

A federal judge in Minnesota has blocked the Trump administration from "destroying or altering evidence" related to today's fatal shooting of Pretti.
[snip]
Judge Eric Tostrud's order includes any "evidence that Defendants and those working on their behalf removed from the scene and/or evidence that Defendants have taken into their exclusive custody," it states.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., posted on social media this evening that the “credibility of ICE and DHS are at stake” after the shooting in Minneapolis today.

He called for a “full joint federal and state investigation,” adding, “We can trust the American people with the truth.”

Noem needs to be fired, impeached, or step down. Her ICE mission in MN has been a disaster.

The USA ain’t no democracy anymore under this government. A bunch of outlaws running this beautiful country. Killing innocent people, real Americans, who trying to help other Americans. Two ICE cold killings in a month. Without any justified reasons. Killing in plain sight. Defending these awfull shootings nevertheless. A real shame for mankind.

We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The White House
February 7, 2025
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1. Purpose. The Second Amendment is an indispensable safeguard of security and liberty. It has preserved the right of the American people to protect ourselves, our families, and our freedoms since the founding of our great Nation. Because it is foundational to maintaining all other rights held by Americans, the right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed.

Sec. 2. Plan of Action. (a) Within 30 days of the date of this order, the Attorney General shall examine all orders, regulations, guidance, plans, international agreements, and other actions of executive departments and agencies (agencies) to assess any ongoing infringements of the Second Amendment rights of our citizens, and present a proposed plan of action to the President, through the Domestic Policy Advisor, to protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.

IMO This is not live action role playing. Calling your self a legal observer does not cloak you from the law. A legal observer is not a protected status. Again, dangerous obstruction of a legal, federal operation. Unlawful assembly. These are not the Robin Hood’s of our society. Yet, this behavior will continue to be encouraged by some officials, giving the dangerous and false impression that you will successfully stop federal operations. IMO
My opinion, this is an important point. It isn't the right of a person to interfere with Federal authorities who are engaged in legal operations in the United States. To attempt to obstruct is dangerous, and to arm up and do so is insanity.

Those who perpetuate the idea that it's ok to do so are contributing to the madness. My opinion.

Senior MAGA figures have been blasted by their fellow conservatives and even the National Rifle Association for quickly declaring that the Department of Homeland Security's killing of a protester in Minneapolis was justified.

Woah, even the DM is coming out swinging. You lose the DM, you've lost the plot JMO.
It's a very, very few who are accepting what happened.

Yes, a few remain who will blame the victim. Can't fix that.

This looks like something out of Desert Storm. Or Mad Max. Americans policing their own citizens.
