The irony is not lost on me.

As our government, or this administration, expresses full support of Iranian protesters we are actively engaging in violence and destroying government buildings they are calling a US citizen a radicalized professional agitator whose murder is justified by masked federal immigration agents for having the unmitigated gall to block a portion of the street and attempt being unlawfully yanked from her vehicle.

Bizzaroworld

We live in bizzaroworld.
I agree. It's sad and bizarre and, most of all, dangerous.

It is dangerous to live in a world where you can be shot to death because your wife said something a little taunting, and your shooter can just call the corpse/corpse-to-be a slur and walk away a free man.

Then, you are right! The very same people who are blaming the victim are propping up Iranians for the similar actions.

Couple of reasons off the top of my head would be that putting your car in a position to block the road is a safety hazard for everyone, ICE and other motorists.

Second as I said before I don't think any Law Enforcement will just drive by a car that is sideways in the street and keep on truckin'. Of course under any circumstances they will stop and see if the person needs assistance or why their car is positioned in that manner in the street.

In this case it was obvious they didn't need any assistance and were simply trying to block the road to impede their operation.
They were observing, not blocking the road. That is obvious from the videos.

Shooting unarmed people in the face makes them the bad guys. And there is no law that gives them the right to do that without consequences.

Car is weapon.

This is quite offensive. We are talking about an individual who has been brutally shot down.
We are not talking about burnt out negative talking points here.

We SHOULD be talking about how ill-trained, overreactive and overangered this US "trained" individual is in the line of service. Is this what you want LE to become across the US.
💯

She wasn't blocking the road, as evidenced by ICE vehicles driving past her. Even if she was, federal LE only has jurisdiction over federal crimes. Parking violations are not federal crimes and ice had no jurisdiction.

The idea that they were offering assistance is ridiculous and unsupported by any evidence.

Oh I'm sorry. I thought based on the fact their car is perpendicular to the lane of travel and other vehicles are having to drive in the wrong lane to get around them that they were blocking the road.

I guess our definitions of blocking the road are different.

<Modsnip:quoted post removed>

In my town, in my state, I've yet to ever see a law enforcement officer wearing a mask while on duty, unless the weather they're standing in warrants it. And they always have name tags on their uniforms. Why are all ICE or Border Patrol agents seemingly working undercover and anonymously? Can I legally wear a mask and not carry ID anywhere I go and if I happen to do something illegal, can I wear my mask for my mug shot and keep my identity secret from LE? Is non-transparency a two-way street?

The most irrational move would be to incapacitate the driver so the vehicle is completely out of control.
Absolutely. Gross incompetence. Very lucky no one else was injured or killed.

ICE is not the traffic police.

Also, there was no obstruction and, unlike the shooter, Renee Good did not leave her car. She would have been able to move it if an ambulance were called. That is the saddest thing. People are falsely accusing her of blocking traffic, when the shooter was fully able to drive around her and abandon his car. Then, they have nothing to say about the fact that EMT's were blocked by ICE from assisting after ICE caused fatal injuries. What ambulance did Ms. Good block?

Please watch the video and post things that actually occur on the video.

Car is weapon.
The videos don't support this.

Ice has a history of claiming this when it's untrue.

Case in LA thrown out

The government had charged Parias with assault, saying that he used his car as a “weapon” to ram two law enforcement vehicles. But in video footage leading up to Parias’s shooting, reviewed by the LA Times, Parias’s car did not appear to be moving.

Case in Chicago thrown out

A federal judge on Thursday dismissed the indictment against two people accused last month of "ambushing" federal agents conducting an immigration sweep in Chicago, including a woman who was shot five times in the incident.

Is this a new video? That scenario didn't occur in anything I've so far seen.
Exactly. I see nothing that supports that posters opinions of the events.

It's a one way street. There was no "wrong lane"

From what I've seen reported here, the road is one way, so no vehicles were driving in the wrong lane.
IMO.

It certainly is when the operator is shot lethally with the car idling/or in drive as we saw. It careened down the street and slammed into a parked car, after the shooting. I am still shocked that others were not hit or injured in this. Which is why it’s clearly know that LE do not engage in this practice.

They sure are. Please don't be sarcastic.

Not at that street. It is a one way further down toward downtown.
But shooting someone in the head who is sitting a driver's seat with the car on causing that car to careen who knows where, is safer?

  • #2,019
Why did ICE agents stop their car after driving past her to go back and confront her? In what way did going back to confront a bystander that they had already driven past assist them in locating and detaining undocumented felons?
Yeah. I can't think of a single ICE-related reason for ICE to even be on that street.

They only created danger. They did nothing towards enforcing immigration law.
