There will be more blood, IMO.The worst idea ever.

Mission creep.IMO, that’s why they are deploying more ICE agents there - to further fan the flames and escalate the situation in Minnesota. Minnesota does not have a proportionately higher number of illegal immigrants than any other state. So why there, if ICE’s whole purpose is to find and deport illegal immigrants?
The “1,000% increase” claim isn’t very legitimate. It’s based on a tiny baseline, so even a small rise looks dramatic when expressed as a percentage. DHS also uses a very broad definition of “assault,” often including minor, non-injurious incidents, and hasn’t released transparent data or methodology. Independent reviews show nothing close to a 1,000% rise in serious attacks, so this reads more like political messaging than a meaningful statistic. Again, similar to why ICE don't wear body cams, you have to wonder why there isn't a more transparent way of reporting incidents?...I think most of us know why. Jmo.

Attacks on ICE up 1,000%? Trump administration claim not backed up by court records
The Trump administration has cited a more than 1,000% increase in assaults on immigration agents to justify aggressive tactics. But court records reviewed by The Times show the majority of the alleged assaults in the areas where ICE and Border Patrol have been most active resulted in no injuries.www.latimes.com
It appears that the claimed increase in assaults isn't supported by any publicly available information.
If that stat is true, why is the government not prosecuting people who commit assault against agents?
Wouldn't you expect prosecutions to increase by 1000+% as well?
One other thing I don’t understand is why Ross didn’t order Good to shut off her engine before circling the SUV and pausing at the back and front.
I watch those silly bodycam Youtubes sometimes and if a car’s engine is running when the officer approaches that’s the first order he gives. Ross in contrast acted like a rookie cop on his first day, which IMO put himself and other officers in danger by then demanding Good exit the car. With the motor running. Isn’t he supposed to have around 10 years of military and LE experience?
JMO the shooting was about intimidating a woman who wasn’t showing proper respect. Was ICE even conducting a raid on that street or were they simply traveling to a different location?
And what experienced ICE agent chooses to stand in front of an SUV while its engine is running then demand the person to exit and then shoot multiple times into a moving vehicle? If this wasn’t such a serious event I’d laugh at Ross’ behavior.
All MOO
So it seems ICE was conducting an operatin right there. New video shows Renee's car blocking the street for about 4 minutes as she honks the horn and others blow whistles. ICE is on the scene. That truck that shows up are follow up, not the first on the scene. She had been told to move her vehicle earlierI agree fully. I'm not someone who is always up in arms over the behavior of law enforcement, but these two things really did stand out starkly. I've even heard similar from some who genuinely have a pro-law enforcement stance.
The wife, Rebecca, making the remark about him needing to go to lunch, may have inadvertently been Ross' breaking point.
Yes, agreed.I could see an argument in a court of law that the drive baby drive comment in and of itself was incitement.

No doubt this will be huge.Yes, agreed.
Well, that's to be expected when officials comment before it's possible to have done any investigation.Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and administration officials have vigorously defended her agency’s response, insisting that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who fired three shots at Renee Good while she was behind the wheel of her car was “surrounded and assaulted” by protesters.

Noem insists ICE was ‘surrounded’ before fatal shooting. Video doesn’t back that up
Footage and witness descriptions do not appear to indicate any imminent threat or ‘assault’www.the-independent.com
BBM
Some statements by the officials seem to not be supported by the evidence available.
True. But you wouldn't expect it to escalate to a fatal shooting. More an arrest or detainment. So it seems ICE was conducting an operatin right there. New video shows Renee's car blocking the street for about 4 minutes as she honks the horn and others blow whistles. ICE is on the scene. Good point. One thing I have noticed with the witness statement is that NONE of them have ever said Renee Good hit Officer Ross with her car. They were standing around in close proximity and witnessed the entire thing yet there are no statements from anyone there that she struck him with her vehicle. All MOO.
If there is some kind of trial, yes, it will be a key point. It's unfortunate that the wife, Rebecca, inadvertently made things very dangerous for Renee. No doubt this will be huge.
"Protesters" in quotes?Of course he was ready to defend himself. Who knows what these "protesters" will do. We have all seen the extreme violence at these protests against ICE officials. We can all read the hatred for LE online and even on this thread. They are hated and many people wish death on them. He would be stupid not to be prepared to defend himself.
Maybe LE drives by and ignores it. Maybe LE asks the driver to move along. It's not a parking ticket because the driver is in the car. What are the legal consequences for having your vehicle in that position in the road?
History books will be scathing towards the group who replaced science with a bunch of hooey. The maths don’t math. MOO
Not even. She wasn't parked there.I looked this up yesterday but can't remember where, but it's a misdemeanor, generally.
If they even bother to cite the driver instead of just giving them the chance to move their vehicle and leave with a warning.
But... ICE agents are not local LE, and they do not enforce traffic violations.
The agents should have called for local LE to deal with it.
This was overkill - in many ways
IMO.
Was Rebecca in the car when Renee drove away? What happened to the dog?Not even. She wasn't parked there.
She was maneuvering her vehicle to leave.
She thought she was going home to her family.
MOO
Of course there is no justification. If there is some kind of trial, yes, it will be a key point. It's unfortunate that the wife, Rebecca, inadvertently made things very dangerous for Renee.
Not to say Ross was justified in his actions, but it seems clearly to be the point where confusion on his part may have become a factor.
