How can anyone think he handled this situation correctly? He also put his fellow workers and other citizens at risk from stray bullets or even being struck by Renee’s car. By killing her he left a moving vehicle uncontrolled. Jmo.

Just so you’re aware, I’m not defending them. But it’s a deadly weapon. Do you think they were concerned she was going to ram into him? It was a split second reaction?

Very concerning that they don’t seem to have training and are so trigger happy.
Yes, a car can be a deadly weapon and NO she wasn't trying to ram them, she wasn't even close to them, she was turning to drive away AT THEIR REQUEST. The murderer was hell bent on murdering her, he ran UP to the car and chased the car to kill her.

He didnt draw until AFTER the tires spun momentarily as she pressed the gas to move forward. Her reverse lights were off and the tires were still straight towards him as he's drawing his weapon.
Not according to the videos, and to closeups provided in the nyt link above. Her tires were clearly, unequivocally pointed to the right before he blew her away. And her car did not touch him. He was a good yard or 2 to the left of her car as he killed her.

Not from the video evidence. Her car, tires all were pointed to the right, to moving away, which is what she was doing, at their command btw, until she was murdered.

Yes. HE intentionally leans over the hood to shoot her. All he had to do was take a single step back. But he had murder on his mind. He was angry. He wasn’t scared.

I had to take a break from the coverage of this because it’s just so upsetting, but I just watched Noem’s press conference. All I can think of is this quote:

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” - Orwell

As others have said, everyday I hope is a tipping point to people waking up to what’s happening around us, and I hope people watch those videos, the government’s response, and truly see this for what it is - state sanctioned murder. There is no world, at least in my opinion, where this is okay or justified.

Justice for Renee Nicole Good, for her children, and for what’s happening to our country. 🤍

Yes, and he went TOWARD her car, not the car coming toward him. My opinion, based on evidence is they told her to move, which she was in the process of doing, and ICE didn't think it was fast enough, grabbed her door handle and the murderer didn't like that she was going to drive away (at their command). He killed her because she was there. JMO

I seriously am disappointed that no state in the US is vigorously enforcing that ICE must display badges and follow protocols for things like gun use, searches and arrests that other LE must follow. Some states have taken some measures, but not have aggressively policed ICE in their states.

MOO
I'm surprised there haven't been ICE fatalities yet. Someone in a mask jumping from an unmarked vehicle trying to grab people seems an unwise thing to do in a country that is armed to its teeth JMO

Renee Nicole Good, 37, lived in Minneapolis with her partner just blocks from where she was shot.

Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem has claimed that Good was “harassing and impeding law enforcement operations”, but video of the incident appears to show that she was driving away when she was shot.
[snip]
Torres DeSantiago said. “And what are we supposed to do? Just continue sipping our coffee like nothing happened?

“This is not normal. It’s not normal to our psyche to see this level of violence and to assume that we will just be OK with what is happening.”

‘This is not normal’: Minneapolis on edge and angry after ICE killing of woman amid federal surge
Her ex-husband told the outlet anonymously that Good had just dropped off her 6-year-old son at school and was driving home with her current partner when they encountered a group of ICE agents.

Really, really seems like they were just thing to get home, and that ICE escalated the situation.

Ive watched a video slowed down to 0.3x. his hand is on his weapon as she's backing up and he's walking in front of the vehicle. Her reverse lights go out, front tires spun for a split second as gas is applied, he draws his weapon as the vehicle starts to move forward as both front and rear wheels show forward motion. I never said her tires were pointed at him when he shot nor that he got struck by the vehicle. At the moment he draws his weapon the car has already started a forward motion and the tires are straight.

from your link:

Reports from The Associated Press show she was a U.S. citizen and appeared to have never been charged with anything involving law enforcement beyond a traffic ticket.

Her ex-husband told the outlet anonymously that Good had just dropped off her 6-year-old son at school and was driving home with her current partner when they encountered a group of ICE agents.

I'm hearing that Noem will be doing a presser this morning? Searching for a link - post if you find one please.

Maybe. Her partner says something else.

The woman was filmed distraught and sobbing just steps from Good’s wrecked car in Minneapolis Wednesday morning, as a neighbor who heard the commotion asked her what happened.

“I made her come down here, it’s my fault,” the woman said through sobs. “They just shot my wife.”
(…)
The woman who stated she was Good’s wife was seen in numerous other clips from before and after the deadly incident.

Just before the gunshots were heard, she was seen closely following federal agents and filming them.

If I see masked men descending on my neighborhood bet your bippy I am filming them ;)

The uniform and police/ice on their uniforms says exactly who they are to me, Law Enforcement.

Jmo
Anyone can buy a uniform online to cosplay as law enforcement. That’s why there are rules and procedures how actual law enforcement must present themselves in a situation. From the videos available so far, those procedures were not followed.

An interesting excerpt from the official ICE handbook, which apparently needed to be amended after an increasing number of agents were stepping in front of moving vehicles in order to justify drawing and using their weapons:

“It should be recognized that a 1/2 ounce (200 grain) bullet is unlikely to stop a 4,000 pound moving vehicle, and if the driver of the approaching vehicle is disabled by a bullet, the vehicle will become a totally unguided threat. Obviously, shooting at a moving vehicle can pose a risk to bystanders including other agents."

"There is little doubt that the safest course for an agent faced with an oncoming vehicle is to get out of the way of the vehicle."

From page 12:

4) Deadly force is not authorized solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect. Deadly force against a fleeing subject is only authorized if there is probable cause to believe that the escape of the suspect would pose an imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury to the officer or another person.

"I made her come down here" and "just dropped off her 6-year-old son at school" are not mutually exclusive. JMO, the son was dropped off, the victim was returning home, and at the same time the wife saw or heard that there was something going on in the neighborhood and wanted to be an observer. IMO that's a brave thing to do these days, because watching your government at work shouldn't get you murdered but lately sometimes it does. MOO.

That’s your opinion.
That’s the opinion of many people including me. imo

Thankfully it won’t be any of us determining the outcome of this case. All videos will be scrutinized by the appropriate agencies. imo
