MN -- woman shot in face and killed by ICE, Minneapolis, 7 Jan 2026

  • #61

“Meanwhile, witnesses said a doctor was at the scene and tried to help the woman who had been shot, but the ICE agents refused to let the doctor in to help. Up to 15 minutes later, an ambulance arrived but was blocked by ICE vehicles that had occupied the street.

Witnesses said ICE agents then carried a "limp body" to the end of the street, where the person was loaded into the ambulance.”

Just heinous.

Every single one of these agents needs to be charged. Every. Single. One.

I very clearly see an officer in front of the vehicle as the woman very rapidly accelerates into a turn and the camera angle changes. In the two incidents that I cited, the accelerations towards the officers were far slower.

The above aside, I don't think the woman was trying to run over the officer. Rather, I firmly believe that she would have continued to turn, then drove away once she had completed the turn (and cleared the officer).

In the end I think the shooting was "justifiable" in the technical legal sense but not truly justified ethically.

The officer should have noted that the vehicle was tightly turning away from him (while also moving towards him). At the same time, the officer cannot read minds and did not know her true intent.

That's definitely not what I see nor what I take from the video. He didn't even start shooting until the car cleared him. He was not in any danger whatsoever.

My heart goes out to the victim and her loved ones.. but I don’t understand why people are shocked that this happened. It’s been happening and will continue to happen because there’s rarely any consequences.

Just saw the clearer photo someone shared. The agent fires into the vehicle when it is already fully turned away from him, 3 feet from him. There was no danger of it hitting him, nor anyone in the path of the vehicle when he fired.

think his lawyers will focus on the small amount of time between the two and argue there wasn't a chance for it to register with him that any danger had passed.

but it seems obvious from the video that he's acting out of anger rather than fear. especially by the time he gets to the last shot or two.

i mean what's he gonna say? that he thought the car was still trying to run him over as he stepped toward the driver's window and shot the driver in the face repeatedly?

I wholeheartedly agree. It seemed like pure rage rather than fear. No need for the shots directly into the window, at 90 degrees to the vehicle, if he was attempting to stop the vehicle from hitting him. JMO.

As per press conference, Minneapolis officials don’t have the identity of the ICE officer.

Honestly the woman yelling at the ICE officers in that video was brave. I wouldn't have been shocked if they shot her too. Sc*mbags.

Agree, he didn’t even start shooting until he was basically next to the drivers side of the car. Her wheels were turned away from him and he basically walked from in front of her car to the drivers side and then fired his shots. He was never in danger of being run over by her. I want to say I hope he’s prosecuted for this crime, but my pessimistic side thinks this will be swept under the rug in a few days/weeks unfortunately. All MOO

That's ok, with all the videos floating around, I'm sure a screen shot of him will be posted on social media soon. He'll be identified sooner or later.

The victim was identified by her mother as Renee Nicole Good, 37.

Donna Ganger told the Minnesota Star Tribune that her daughter lived in the Twin Cities with her partner. Ganger declined to say whether she lived in Minneapolis.

Ganger said the family was notified of the death late Wednesday morning.

“That’s so stupid” that she was killed, Ganger said, after learning some of the circumstances from a reporter. “She was probably terrified.”

At 0:11 I clearly hear a lawful order to get out of the car. I clearly see her decide to ignore the lawful order and drive into agents.

She was incredibly brave to continue filming and yell at them.

Trump said the ICE agent is recovering in hospital. Funny he wasn’t injured whatsoever and was seen walking after he killed this poor woman.

Another officer also yells at her to leave the scene, so which order was she supposed to follow? She had 5 agents approaching her, all telling her different things.

How is it a lawful order? ICE agents are not allowed to stop a vehicle unless they have reasonable suspicion that an undocumented immigrant is inside the vehicle, or if they are targeting an individual with a warrant. Authorities have confirmed that the victim was NOT the subject of any investigation.

ETA citations - United States v. Brigoni-Ponce, 422 U.S. 873 - Immigration officers cannot stop a vehicle without reasonable suspicion.

Federal regulation 8 C.F.R. 287.8(b) - ICE officers may briefly detain a person only if they have reasonable suspicion that the person is engaged in an immigration violation.

POSTER BOY of ICE mindset. IMO

She didn't drive into them at all. Look at the wheels.

Edited as don't know if source is allowed.

The ICE shooter's face is already out. Very very clear pictures.

Witness live on Fox9 says he estimates vehicle was traveling ‘around 2 MPH’ until victim was shot, at which point the vehicle accelerated.
