MN -- woman shot in face and killed by ICE, Minneapolis, 7 Jan 2026

I thought this was supposed to be an open discussion and a safe place and you are getting personal. I am stating facts that a federal officer gave her an order, she ignored it and then drove her car into one. Then someone asked me what gives them right - i'm answering.
It is an open discussion but it's also a place for compassion and for not supporting people being shot repeatedly in the face. Jmo.

It’s almost like ICE agents purposely cause chaos and confusion in an effort to make a situation escalate to the point where they decide they need to use violence. MOO.
EXACTLY
This is exactly what they are there for.

Also terrifying (yet unsurprising) the lies that are being told at govt level. Inexcusable, but add it to the list I guess.

Not true, as a US citizen federal agents do have authority over her and you. When you don't comply and then drive straight toward an agent you are going to get shot. It's not nice, sweet, and sugary but its real life. She has the right to protest but she doesn't have the right to obstruction of government, and she surely didn't have the right to run over someone.
Did you watch the video? It's murder. She was complying, they yelled at her to get out of the way, which is what she was doing until she was executed by ICE.

Can you tell me in the video when you hear leave? I don't hear it. At what second mark?
[removed unapproved source as LAborn posted from approved source upthread]

Around seconds 6-8, passenger side agent points for her to leave and asks her to get out of the way at the same time she is being told to step out of the car by drivers side agent. They weren’t on the same page - speaking at the same time and making two different requests. I’ll look for this angle at an approved link.

DHS says woman shot in the face in ICE-involved incident

WATCH: Minnesota officials hold briefing after ICE agent kills woman motorist

Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan also released a statement, calling the shooting an "unspeakable act of violence."

“ICE has committed an unspeakable act of violence today, shooting and killing a woman in South Minneapolis," she said.

"These masked agents are out of control and creating real chaos in our state. ICE must leave Minnesota immediately – before more people are hurt. In the face of their violence, let us remain peaceful, calm, and united. Minnesotans will not allow Trump and his thugs to turn our communities into war zones.”

Where are you seeing she “sped off”? She doesn’t accelerate her car until after she gets shot 4 times in the face, which at that point, no longer has control of her car and the car basically goes down the street a few hundred feet before crashing. Since she was dying at that point.

Why does ICE have to be so hostile and aggressive? They're on a residential street. They were not in danger. That pick-up truck was NOT stuck in the snow. They had every ability to turn around and leave the situation. It is not right for their first instinct to be screaming and running up to someone with their weapons drawn.

This woman did not have to be shot. There were ways to defuse the situation. Alternatively, they could've simply allowed her to leave without screaming at her and surrounding her with their weapons drawn.

Wow, where I live it's three years police training and we have little crime.

I assume the police’s initial general level of functioning is higher to start with. The task of the police, give or take, is organization of the society. The task of ICE, finding and throwing people out of the country, ends up in disrupting the canvas of the society. You don’t need highly trained people for it. Then they mess things up, of course, culminating in the situations like this. They are also in fear themselves. It is a disaster what happens. Poor woman.

Witnesses said to Fox9 that she was going ‘around 2 miles an hour’ until she was first shot, and the she accelerated after being shot. I’ll try to find the exact moment of interview from the livestream but it was hrs ago
At the point of acceleration, she wasn't in control because she was shot in the face by ICE agents. If that is the dangerous situation, it happened because of ICE shot the driver as she was pulling away.

It's sort of like some people expect her to maintain control of her car after being KILLED. Jmo

Yeah how dare she not be a better driver after being shot in the face multiple times by a masked coward, right? MOO

She "sped" only after you hear gunshots.

MOO.

Exactly, and she wasn't a fugitive they needed to bring down. There were ways to diffuse a difficult situation without any violence. Trained agents should know better.

Yes, actual police officers are taught at the police academy how to diffuse a situation without violence or drawing their weapons as the first step. Can you imagine if the police just shot every single person who didn’t follow any order given? Insanity.
