MN -- woman shot in face and killed by ICE, Minneapolis, 7 Jan 2026

We are truly living in an unprecedented and dangerous time, MOO.

I am sorry that Renee lost her life. I am sorry that US citizens and immigrants alikare being hunted down and harassed on a daily basis as if they were on a terrorist watch list.

I'm sharing my perspective of what I saw, prior to agents even getting out of their SUV.

Renee was attempting to drive off behind a car that had just left. As she moved up slightly so did the agents' vehicle. She stopped her car and motioned for them to go ahead. That is when they got out of their car and aggressively approached her. While they were reaching into her car, likely pushing her around, she attempted to drive off. Her killer approached from the right a she was pulling off. She didn't see him, as he appeared from out of nowhere. He shot her several times. All MOO.

Sadly I believe things will escalate, especially when you have so many lies pushed by, along with dog whistles such as claiming people will be protesting violently or that everyday people are terrorists or engaging in terrorism. When in fact, the government is terrorizing it's citizens. MOO.

To me, that's the equivalent of shooting someone in the back after they are in the process of running away and that's not self-defense, that's murder.

No, I do not think any possible second or third shots would have been justified. I also agree with your analogy that it equates to shooting somebody while fleeing.

But... given the fact that he had just responded to a deadly threat a second or two earlier (first shot was justified, in front of the vehicle, cant read her mind etc), I could not convict him of murder.

I could convict him of Manslaughter though. In the end, I officers need to be in control of their actions. But, few people have complete awareness in chaotic / violent situations.

False. False. False. ICE has been terrorizing Portland for months, stalking children and families at school, stores, places of employment, kidnapping people off the streets. Now, they've shot two people.

As the police chief said ..... the use of deadly force is justified at times, but that most law enforcement agencies in the U.S. are trained to minimize the risks and the need for deadly force.

And it’s that statistic in many years worth of fear mongering news cycles. Many people not having their material needs met have found solace in being given someone else to blame (instead of the crummy politicians or billionaires). I’d imagine it’s a more particularly salient boogeyman to blame for people who don’t even have undocumented neighbors to reference as living, breathing humans… moo
