How comes that this alleged hit is somehow visible only in this potato quality video, shot from the distance, but you cannot see it in anything clearer and more close-up?

Here it is. 2:08 crystal clear from ABC.

The same video starts at 2:08 into this ABC clip

Very clear.

there's a link and at that link there are links to just a few of the violent attacks that have taken place against ICE officials.

He felt it necessary because there is someone behind the wheel of a two ton battering ram ignoring orders to step out of the vehicle and these ICE agents are subject to vehicle attacks constantly. Which you can read about at the link.
Thanks for the link.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and administration officials have vigorously defended her agency’s response, insisting that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who fired three shots at Renee Good while she was behind the wheel of her car was “surrounded and assaulted” by protesters.

BBM

Some statements by the officials seem to not be supported by the evidence available.
<modsnip>

pfft Surrounded. SMH

ETA not a single video from any angle shows the agents surrounded by or being assaulted by protesters. If anyone has a video showing such an angry mob I would like to watch it.

All those violent people have been pardoned for beating officers. You're asking the wrong person. Perhaps a strongly worded letter to current administration?

Again. What does any of that have to do with this case?

My opinion, this statement was made out of anger that 1. She tried to run him over, 2. She endangered his fellow agent who was right up against the car, and maybe even 3. That he was just forced into a terrible situation based on her decision to put that car in drive and accelerate forward.

My opinion.
Good points.

Let’s say there was only the order to get out of the vehicle. Do you think the agents gave her enough time to understand and comply with that order before shooting her? IMO, the order we hear on video from the officer who tries to open her car door was given 5 seconds (per the video) before she is shot. How can she be expected to comply with an order that quickly? Officer Ross himself never says a word to Ms Good, he is never heard speaking to either Renee or her wife in his cell phone video <modsnip> So I guess we may have to agree to disagree that she wasn’t even given proper time to try to comply with the order to exit her vehicle before she was shot to death. IMO.
She had no intention of exiting the vehicle. She placed the vehicle in drive, hit the accelerator before the officer unholstered his firearm. That is what the videos show. imo

Yes I was coming to post something along these lines.

She's not given enough time to respond to commands along with having another officer putting their hands through the window at the same time.

If as some people see it she was looking at the officer in front of the car (where he shouldn't have been) it also took time for her to turn her wheels away from him. which she did.

5 seconds to be barked an order, have arms in your window doing what? Probably scared she will be dragged out of the car and beaten/shot. See the officer in front, turn your wheels to avoid hitting him as you try to drive away.

Shot 3 times anyway.

I agree she didn't intend to exit the vehicle and didn't have to. She was driving away, and that was the goal of ICE in the first place - to get her to move.

ICE was not investigating her for immigration issues. They are also not traffic cops. They didn't like where her car was (and likely didn't like her talking). She was removing the car to discontinue the minor confrontation.

She did not escalate the situation or cause a dangerous situation. The agent did. That is what the videos show and tell (audio is important to keep on).

Exactly.

None of Ross's actions seem to have any at all to do with the enforcement of immigration laws. And he gets really angry and ultimately kills a heckler? From what I can see, he wasn't even near any suspect. Why didn't he just ignore hecklers?

So, in the USA, if you are on the same road as ICE, they can just randomly try to break into your car? Rudely shout nonsensical orders using swear words, shoot you dead? That is okay?

MOO
The reason protesters are out in the cold, it’s NOT okay

Ok, I think the combined video make it clear that she did did, OR that it was clear to the agent that she intended to.
If the latter, then it's a matter of self-defense on the part of the immigration enforcement agent.

Seriously? The close up videos make it, IMO, obvious he was not hit. And he would have to be a superhuman (this is not sarcasm, just description) to be able not only keep himself at his feet after being hit by a car, but also keep his hold on both phone and gun AND place two additional shots more or less in target.

Ok here it is go to about 2:08 into this video. <modsnip>

He is leaning over her car (to shoot her), then his hands are on her car as she starts to drive past him.

That is what I see in that moment.

His legs are never contacted by the vehicle.

Then, of course, he shoots her again - twice - through Renee's driver's side window.

imo

I agree, 100%. He leaned over her car to shoot her, therefore yes, his body is in contact with her car but by his own doing. His feet also stay planted on the ground the entire time. You can see both of his feet next to her tire which is turned to the right. They are never lifted up by the car. He was never in danger of being “run over” by Renee because she was turning her wheel away from him. His cell phone footage shows her turning her wheel, I will go back and watch to get the exact time you can see her crank her wheel all the way to the right, but it is in the video he took himself. All MOO.

I saw this article this earlier:

I am glad their dog survived. I was wondering. The trauma for the dog of the shots, the killing, the crash. I hope that the dog and Renee's 6-year old can comfort each other.

imo
