Digital billboards are now displaying Breeann’s picture in the following areas:
■ Kingshighway and Broadway (Cape Girardeau, MO)
■2418 South Caraway (Jonesboro, AR)
■2610 E. Highland Drive (Jonesboro, AR)
■2412 Stadium Boulevard (Jonesboro, AR)

Anybody know why they would be set up in these areas?

Hollye, would you be so kind as to add this to your map?

ITA. I also find it strange to allow the parents at the search area. At first I thought they brought them there to look at the evidence that day but the parents said they weren't told what they found, so I'm confused. Ya know they could be involved in her disappearance, not saying they are though but they could be.

I think it is refreshing to see parents looking for the children . . . I know that NOTHING keeps me away from searching for my CAT when he gets out of the fenced area.

These parents who sit aside & allow others to do the work . . . WTH?! Not the reaction I would have, but I am abnormal.

NOT to imply anything at all, but the pix of the parents searching came in close proximity time wise to the LE statement that the items could have been planted and the leads going "in circles". It is POSSIBLE that LE could have sent the parents into an area that had been thoroughly searched multiple times just to see if any "new" items might turn up during that search. IOW, more like an investigative technique to double check any hunches or suspicions that they (LE ) might still have regarding the family.

Once again, I am not implying there is any family involvement, just that it might explain why they would be allowed to search a specific area.

My BIL work as head bottle washer in LE,

in a town here in SW Florida.

He say that something could happen in front of hundred people

and everyone of them would say they did NOT hear or see a thing.

They don't want to get involved and have LE looking any closer at them.

(not saying this is the case here... But...)

I agree with you I would want to search also but I can't stop thinking of what happen in the JonBenét Ramsey case where the dad picked her up and brought her upstairs, contaminating the crime scene. And the horrible thought of them really finding her would be just terrible. IMO

agreed. i'll paraphrase an LE officer quote linked yesterday up thread something like.... We've been searching right along with them (the parents) day and night.

NOTHING would be able to stop us if our kid was gone. hello no.

""I don't want to think about the worst," he said.

Rodríguez said the girl is very friendly.

"She'd go with anybody," he said.

But he said the girl would never ride her bike away from the street where the family lives."

bbm that statement is so tragic to me. Hopefully this can spread the message to parents to really enforce "stranger danger" with children.

OT but I like the idea of having a secret code word with your child and telling your child to go with NO ONE unless they know that word.

... or ideas similar to that.

Roy Kronk sure comes to mind. Unfortunately the public learned something from that.

Sad to say, But when a couple of us went in to LE and ask if we could go out and do a civilian search for Adji.

They said " you don't want to be Kronked do you?"

It really made me mad....
:banghead:

We then were given about 200 page folder to fill out and had our fingerprints taken and are still waiting to hear back about our criminal background checks.... before they will even consider letting us...

While I tend to agree with you regarding what people will do, I would HOPE that with child people would a) intervene and or b) tell everything they saw.

Jonesboro is a college town (Arkansas State University)-maybe trying to get the word out to people traveling to drop their kids off at school.

What an inconsiderate thing to say. :maddening: Thousands of people help search for the missing. Casey Anthony's case shouldn't take precedent over any current or future searches. What a loser! I'd be mad as heck also.

My kid is shy with new people but I've also seen her smile and talk to strangers and she would probably leave with someone if they told her to. The secret word thing wouldn't work with my kid at her age (she just turned 4) since she would probably tell the stranger the secret word. Every kid is different I guess but I think 3-4 years old is very young and likely, a child this age would leave with someone if they told them to. JMO
I'm a nervous mom who tries to be chill but I hover over my kid 24/7.

hmmm interesting. Thanks.

I checked the NCMEC site for any children missing in Arkansas. The only ones as young as Breeann are considered "family abductions". One child in Missouri, again family abduction. Is Senath in South Missouri? Does it border Tennessee or North towards Illinois? Trying to locate any missing kids in these States to see if there is a connection somehow. I know Holly Bobo is missing in TN but I don't think it would be the same perp.

My 4yo is very similar. She will say hi to random people when we are out and then turn around and hide her head, if someone says hi to her the next minute. My DH and I are definitely helicopter parents.
