The Senath Police Department along with the FBI Task Force, Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kennett Police Department and the Bootheel Drug Task Force are investigating the case

Thanks for that. To me that doesn't mean necessarily that drugs are involved. The drug task for would have investigators that would help. Just like today when the Conservation dept is helping on the waters.

According to Prosecuting Attorney for Dunklin County, Stephen P. Sokoloff, who spoke at a press conference around 1 p.m., Saturday, Shawn Morgan, 34, of Senath has been charged with the felony counts of First Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action and Tampering with Physical evidence in connection to the missing child case that has been covered by local and national media since Saturday, August 6, the day little Breann was reported missing by her family.

---------are we sure he's 43, as they originally said? this article has him at 34.

ETA----------just saw the D.O.B. in the earlier "vinelink post"------he's 43.

See the Vinelink info I posted a little bit upthread, with his DOB.

2011 - 1968 = 43

ok...who is going to start first with an apology to her parents for what was said about them. Hopefully, they will not come here and read any of it!

I speculated that Breann's mom MAY have been involved. I have no problem admitting that. And I would have no problem with her reading my posts. I am sure she already knows that many of these cases do involve the parents. And so I made some speculative assumptions which are backed by the statistics and
sad case histories. I am glad that she was not the guilty party but I do not think
it was out of line to consider she might have been.

WARNING: Please do not post info or links until it can be shown 100% that they are the PERP.

This is a horrible, horrible crime and we want to be very sure we do not connect up innocent people.

Thanks for taking the time to verify the information.

Breeann - my heart cries for you. Fly high with the angels, sweetie.

FB says he lives on same street, FWIW

That is what I wondered first. that it seemed like it had to be someone who was near since it was a cul de sac

These are really the scariest of all. Just a neighbor. No long record, not a registered SO, not family, just there. He could be anyone's neighbor.

This is slightly OT, but in recently searching our neighborhood for RSO's, I came across one that surprised me: the father of the only other kids we've met in our complex since moving in last summer. We went to their apt/condo several times to see if the kids wanted to play with our kids (in the snow, street hockey, etc) but they always said 'no'. I'm so glad - if they had said 'yes', then our son may have gotten to know them better and could have ended up spending time at their home...

Some are not "registered" yet but just a reminder to keep checking the national register.

I wonder if this guy is the one who gave a description of the white van? They were looking for that van everyone. I think it was Wed. or Thurs they had a white van stopped in my area in case it was connected to Breeann. I am about 5 hours away from Senath.

He was either hiding in his house, or out front helping. I am surprise that we did not see him on tv talking. Very sad day. How do people do this.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he somehow inserted himself or some mis-information into the investigation.

So, if this guy has a wife and at least one child living at home, it's unlikely he would have taken Breeann to his house, I think. Then again, the Jessica Lunsford story still haunts me. I wonder if they're searching his home right now. I don't think that's been mentioned in the today's updates.

"A father of three has been charged with first-degree murder in the case of Breeann Rodriguez, the 3-year-old who went missing on Aug. 6 while riding her pink bicycle in her Senath, Mo., neighborhood.

Shawn S. Morgan, 34, sits in the Dunklin County Jail, awaiting an arraignment that has yet to be scheduled, Dunklin County Sheriff's Department spokesman Mike McCammon said this afternoon. Sheriff's deputies, Missouri State Highway Patrol, FBI agents, officers from the Senath Police Department and volunteers are still searching for Breeann's body, he said, adding that he wasn't authorized to disclose any other details."

I never once thought it was the parents from the get go. I actually didn't even join in any of those continuous conversations. And now I continue to wish them blessings and pray for serenity and God's help during this awful ordeal.

Reminds me of the "Bike Path Rapist"...a longtime resident, walked in a walk against crime/rape, wife and family shocked...
