I am so sorry for this mom and dad and family of this sweet baby girl. Sending prayers their way. I am so sick of these monsters stealing and murdering our precious angels.

So, if this guy has a wife and at least one child living at home, it's unlikely he would have taken Breeann to his house, I think. Then again, the Jessica Lunsford story still haunts me. I wonder if they're searching his home right now. I don't think that's been mentioned in the today's updates.

Apparently LE confiscated several items, including computers, already. He was arrested at 11:00pm last night.

From Jetaime's link above....

"Morgan was quietly arrested around 11 p.m. Friday, said Debra Miller, who lives across the street and learned from someone else that her decade-long neighbor had been taken into police custody."

"Earlier we had noticed items being taken out of the house by the FBI," Miller, 51, said. "His wife just came over and said they were taking out computers and just bags of stuff. ... Of course she was upset but trying to believe the best."

"Morgan worked in a steel factory in nearby Blytheville, Ark., Miller said."

"Our street is a dead-end street. We watch after each other's children. Our grandchildren have been here all summer," she said. "This is so shocking. It's hard to believe. ... He's such a small-built man, about 5'6," maybe 130 or 140 popunds, real meek. And just always seemed like a real nice guy."

So looks like this guy lived on 118 ode johnson.

Was it clarified if he presently lived on Ode Johnson or if he has since moved?

I think that's his address b/c he has a lot of unclaimed property under it.

they'll need to dig up that whole house

From the article I posted above, the lady mentioned lives on Ode Johnson, too.

So this sick freak was watching her every day.

Saw his chance when the brother went inside.

And there were children at the one neighbors house who were staying for the summer, and it sounded like they played with the Morgan kids. So little Breeann probably felt comfortable knocking on that door, asking to use the bathroom or something like that, because she probably played with those kids before.

Sorry, I'm not following this. Are you speaking about the day she went missing or another occasion? If she was last seen in her front yard, why would she have gone down to his house that day, instead of going inside her own home?

Sooo sad... What a sick, sick man.

I wonder:

If he had been planning this for awhile and awaited the perfect opportunity
If he just got a sudden sick urge and snatched her unplanned (nahh)
If his wife or children suspected anything at all
If his wife or children reported something
If this was racially motivated (doesn't make sense to hurt the baby tho)
If he was an abusive husband/father
If he participated in the search
WTH he was thinking/feeling seeing all of the searching taking place
If he provided the red herrings
If he planted the training wheels
HOW he swooped in and took her away without being noticed
If she was kept inside of his house for any length of time

Oh sooo many questions.

I am very curious to know what led to this man...seems he crumbled once they got to him, but so far, we are not hearing that he was the neighborhood creep or anything...at least not a known one...

It almost HAD to be someone from the neighborhood with all those children always playing on the street because SOMEONE would have noticed something different or strange if it was outside of the NORM.

But what an a?? to take the life of this beautiful little angel! I truly hope and pray they have and continue to build a very strong case against this criminal.

I cant speak for Katy, but it is quite a coincidence. May have nothing to do with Breean, but who knows.

He had to drive right by her family out searching for her...maybe even before LE were called!!!!!!!

So if he had once lived on Ode Johnson, then he may have relatives still living there. Could it have been a crime of opportunity? She pedals past and feels ok talking to him because it was a neighbors house ? He has little kids, so he would know how to communicate with her. I hope her never sees the light of day again. Poor sweet baby girl.

I wonder if he and his wife are divorced. If so, she may still live on Ode Johnson. I'm also wondering if his family became suspicious and reported their suspicions to LE. Another thought: with his record of thefts and such, I wonder if Breeann's parents had once reported him for something that happened while he was still living on Ode Johnson. I can't imagine why a father would want to abduct and murder an innocent little child, so I'm thinking this was a revenge killing.

Someone on FB mentioned that his wife and kids go to their church, so they must still be local.

This is slightly OT, but in recently searching our neighborhood for RSO's, I came across one that surprised me: the father of the only other kids we've met in our complex since moving in last summer. We went to their apt/condo several times to see if the kids wanted to play with our kids (in the snow, street hockey, etc) but they always said 'no'. I'm so glad - if they had said 'yes', then our son may have gotten to know them better and could have ended up spending time at their home...

Some are not "registered" yet but just a reminder to keep checking the national register.

The father of a family who used to be in our home-school group is an RSO. His wife told me that it had to do with a plea bargain he took regarding an event with a girl-friend when he was in his teens. We don't do checks on the parents who join our group, but once the leaders found out about it, we realized our by-laws don't forbid it. The leaders decided the family could remain in membership, if they agreed to reveal to the other members about his status. I'd never even seen the guy, but one time, when I went with my children to a birthday party at their home. The whole thing was an eye opener to how easily they can be out there. Although, to be honest, I think too many are required to register, and it makes it hard to know who the real threats are. This guy (Shawn Morgan) wasn't registered, and really didn't have a criminal history to speak of. No one can guess. But still, kids are actually statistically safer now than they were in 1950. True fact.
