2007 I'd guess 12 yo.

Careful sleuthers!!! Let's not lose our thread here. We are a victim friendly forum and are not to discuss/sleuth persons not named as suspects or persons of interest. The Katie Barham thread was cautioned by Bessie yesterday for too much speculation, bashing and talking about social media rumors.

If this were a movie, I'd say "Who writes this stuff?", but it's real life and my head is spinning. At best, it's a tragedy. At worst, it's a horror story. I'm afraid to find out the ending, but I can't leave.

My heart breaks for everyone who is close to the family. There is not going to be a happy fairy tale ending here. :(

I am torn. On one hand, I think a child that is sick should get Disney trips to help her detach from her condition even for a bit. On the other hand, I have a huge problem with donations that are used for these trips, on top of other perks. I suppose the mother had no job because the daughter needed 24/7 care, and that they were living off her disability checks. But they got so much already from donation including a house that it seems to me a bit ... ungrateful to be asking for donations for trips and extra stuff. Still, a sick child needs some happiness in her life. Like I said, I am torn on that.

So she was or is truly sick. They don't offer the chopper ride to just anyone.

Not necessarily. I am guessing they just went by the doctor said. And if he was conned, then they needn't put in any effort for anything derivative from his word.

We just heard of these folks 2 days ago. And now making very huge assumptions on the validity of their past claims.

"Officials believe the person of interest and Gypsy met online. They are in police custody in Wisconsin. We're told that Gypsy could be back here in Springfield Tuesday."

"Friends of the mother and daughter say Gypsy was very dependent on her mother and could not get around on her own. It’s a very different picture of what the family of the person of interest say about her."

"The male and female were ultimately located by deputies. Both were taken into custody and are being held for questioning."

"FOX6 News spoke with a woman who said she is the step-grandmother of Gypsy Blancharde’s boyfriend. She says the boyfriend also has special needs. Both were taken in for questioning."

It sounds like they are just going to bring her back Tuesday and not have her expedited back on Tuesday.

Jmo. Sounds like she is being cleared.

Not necessarily. Springfield MO LE is going to Wisconsin to bring her back to Missouri. The crime took place in Missouri. Depending on evidence and questioning, it could be classified an extradition. I'm not sure if LE would travel all that way just to give her a ride.

If someone can provide a link that GB is a POI, please do. Otherwise, do not refer to her as a POI unless/until she is so named by LE and an MSM link is provided.

I've searched through dozens of news articles and as of this time, I can find nowhere that states she is a POI. She is in police custody and being questioned, but has not been named.

I'd say so. Being named a person of interest and held maybe they will have a Dr check her history and present status. http://www.news-leader.com/story/ne...fs-office-searching-mother-daughter/71236652/
She's not a suspect? Or is? I'm confused!

She could be in custody and also be in a hospital. (I'm not saying she is a POI, LE may just want to interview her). We have prisoners at our hospital regularly. There is usually a sheriff or two posted outside the door of the room.

My brain, what's left of it, is officially fried. Good night all, I'll be back in the morning when I hope there'll be some clarity.

She would have to stay somewhere if there is no one to take care of her. Arrangements have to be made. If she is disable and collecting disability with her sole provider now deceased than it is only right that she is escorted back to be able to gather things from the house and be placed with whomever. Now Wisconsin is liable while she is with them if her health is bad. So they may only want to release her to Springfield pd to eliminate any liability.
