Found Deceased MO - Darnell Gray, 4, Jefferson City, 24 Oct 2018 *Arrest*

This gives his age.

Well reading pages back I was confused as to why I wasn’t seeing found on my title screen. So confusing for a bit.

Is this boy 3 or 4. I’m seeing both 2014 and 2013 as birth years. There’s a huge difference between. Almost 5 and almost 4.

“Darnell Gray was at home with a caregiver when he disappeared overnight from Wednesday into Thursday morning.”

After reading this I am getting the feeling that Darnell did not like being with a caregiver and reminds me now of one of my own personal experiences.

When I was either 3 or 4 years old my parents sent me to a babysitter for the day which was pretty much across the street from where we lived. It was my first experience of that type of situation and I was one of about 10 kids the babysitter was taking care of that day. I didn’t like it, at all. I ended up sneaking out the front door of her house and walked back to my house and I hid with our dog in the doghouse. After a little while the babysitter and all of the kids were at my house yelling my name to try and find me. I remained frozen and hunkered down in the doghouse until I couldn’t hear them no more. Even when I suspected they were gone I did not move. I stayed right there in one spot for what I might guess 3 hours or so now. Then my Dad showed up and I heard him calling for me. I came out of the doghouse right away.

Hopefully this might be what Darnell is doing and is still alive, Keep searching.

Are we sure the police are who took the washing machine? It was loaded on a truck, no gloves, no cover on the machine. I would think if it was evidence of some kind it would be covered in plastic and people loading would be wearing gloves etc to protect any evidence on the machine.

The reporter on scene said that the activity at the house had no connection to the missing boy.

Right now the pond on Linden Way is being drained. Jefferson City Police say they might be draining until early tomorrow morning @KRCG13

Have I missed it have mom or dad or a spokesperson for mom or dad made any kind of statement at all? I know dad wasn't home and mom lives in another state, but anything from them???

I believe it is telling that reporters from all three stations have not even tried to interview the family members or the "caregiver" in this case. Just like the quote from above. They are eliminating any and all possibilities while they conduct background investigations. I believe if this little boy is still alive he is in Chicago with the bio mom.

To me it looked like the guy is wearing white medical gloves, like you see at a drs office. Still doesn’t look too official with the pickup truck??? And the cops saying it’s not connected, so who knows. It’s a mess of a story.

This whole case just smells bad. Really bad.

I tried to find the pic of the washing machine but so far haven't had any luck. I did find a tweet where the reporter definitely said LE said none - the arrests or the washing machine - were related. Originally I thought LE only said the arrests were unrelated. For now I'm taking that with a grain of salt

Anyway, I'll keep looking for the photo but I recall seeing white writing on the back of the shirts of the men loading it into the truck. I had assumed it said something like Police. It's related somehow but maybe just to the arrests. Still, it would make sense if Luminol picked up traces of blood near the machine and LE wants to look in its drain hoses. I dunno.

Also, I'm relieved to see that the reward has gone from $500 to $11,000. It was so sad to see the paltry reward for Darnell, especially when we see the huge reward for JC - no aspersions to her or her family!! I just mean that it was bothering me that Darnell was being... I don't know, "valued" so low compared to other rewards we see in cases.

Between the reward increase and the growing involvement of the community out searching for Darnell it gives me hope that he'll be found. Alive? I'm afraid he won't but finding him should go a long way to learning what happened to him. MOO.

It does say police. I believe these are detectives, just not uniformed officers.
