So was I, i'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I feel like the step-mom is trying to throw the investigator's off for whatever reason. It sounds very fishy to me!

We had 3 legitimate news sources saying Darnell was found alive. We have since learned the news sources were getting their information from the stepmother rather than the police.

Oh, that doesn't sound good, for many reasons.

It's definitely not good. There's a reason we don't allow rumors on Websleuths and in this case we may not be able to trust the MSM sources, either. This is going to be a tough case for obtaining accurate information. We may have to stick with the official police Twitter page to ensure the information being released is accurate.

I read this entire thread as I just wanted a break from the Jayme Closs discussion. I was overjoyed when I heard he was found then later read it is all false. Can't believe it. I'm only following the Jayme discussion as I grew up there. I personally feel drained just following that one. I just don't know how all you seasoned WSers can do this day after day. But I certainly not only give you credit but thank you for your efforts as well. I guess I'm just not thick skinned enough to read these things day after day.

1. Why post on Facebook instead of racing to go get your child/stepchild? SM would be the last thing on my mind in the moments after I thought he was found.
2. Why speak to the media instead of racing to get him? Again, nothing would get in my way to get him.
3. Zero chance this was a mistake, imo. Someone intentionally lied, either the source, the media or LE. I’m guessing we all think it was the same one.
4. Was there actually a 3-5 year old boy walking alone along the highway? If so, who is he? Just how many little boys are not where they’re supposed to be in that town??

Highway 63 is the main link between Jeff City and Columbia. The Regional Airport is on it as well. Ambulances are up and down this highway by the dozen per day, as is Highway Patrol and Sheriff. It is not conceivable that he was walking along this highway. Also Trump is coming to this airport next Thursday and the advance teams are already here.

Take note that video report at the above link states that when DG (falsely) reported found in Columbia, that DG's Father was "released from JCPD" (Jefferson City Jail??), and on his way to Columbia to pick him up.

While we know the sighting of DG in Columbia was not true -- this statement about Dad's release conflicts with earlier reports that Dad was working out of town. MOO
