He has a pre trial hearing scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026. In previous hearings during November, He was granted permission to have a different tracking device called REPATH. His request to be allowed the return of his gun “to go hunting” was denied.

*Pretrial Hearing (3rd Degree domestic assault case) (@ am CT) - MO - Echo Michelle (White) Lloyd (47) was last seen in Edwards, Missouri on May 10, 2020 & Missouri State Highway Patrol says last seen May 14, 2020, Edwards, Benton County). Daughter reported her missing on May 15, 2020. *Joshua Dwain Smith (39?/now 40) arrested & charged (7/10/25) with felony 1st degree murder & 3rd degree domestic assault.
*Charge [unrelated to Echo’s case] *Arrested & charged (12/31/24) & arraigned (4/9/25) with 1st degree rape or attempted rape on 7/4/24. Plead not guilty [4/9/25]. Bond $75K Surety. Released on bond [12/31/24]. Plead not guilty (4/9/25). Benton County

8/28/25 Update: Hearing continued/rescheduled with Judge Angles Louis presiding. State by Prosecutors & defendant in person & with attorney. Defense's motion for continuance is granted. Cause continued on 10/2/25 @ 1:30pm for docket call. Defendant is ordered to appear on time.
