So we think KB adopted her grandchildren because her daughter wasn't fit to take care of them?

The mom is on probation (just a month ago) for possession of drugs. One of the bio-dads is in jail.

Elizabeth's father and brother are both in jail and are both suspected to be involved in the disappearance of the father's girlfriend.

The neighbour who lives next to Elizabeth's house has a brother who is a RSO.

You sure can't tell what a neighbourhood is really like by looking on Google Maps.

Sigh, ok... Woman (GM) is mother of the 4 kids' Mom. Due to Mom's probs... GM has taken guardianship of the kids.

1st degree assault - does that mean a weapon was used?

This is grandma's 3rd marriage, at least.

1st marriage in TX in 1975 (to MB's father)
2nd marriage in CA in 1983
3rd marriage to GB (I didn't look for)

BBM

the brother is/was a suspect too? I hadn't seen that

I noticed on the brother's ms - he lists his dad as his hero

Sounds like a very troubled family. AB was certainly dealing with pain and rebellion issues. From her twiter: "music is my life, im nothing without my friends, and i haate authority, so talk to me:)"

that seems par for the course for most teenagers though I think ...

So what are we thinking could be the motive here?

O/T (kinda)

before this thread gets too long, I just wanted to say you are all such good sleuthers - it's been interesting seeing the search methods you've used and the theories you've posted and the collective coming together tonight

:applause:

You're right- I suppose most teenagers would write similar things about hating authority.

Although she also has a quote from a poem written by William Cowper that he wrote after a suicide attempt: "encompass'd with a thousand dangers; weary, faint, tremblinng with a thousand terrors; i in a fleshly tomb, am buried above grounnd"

uh oh

have you found more horrible info?

Ya know? This is hard to explain... parents are living in area that I'm from. I now live a few miles from the scene. I've been home all weekend and not hearing "rumors" however, serious drugs are involved with both families (not grandparents that I know of). But things are so bad around here with the meth, that doesn't make an automatic link.

honestly, what I've seen so far of hers isn't that troubling (except perhaps it might be with hindsight, esp. to her family if it turns out she's involved)

what really bothers me is the pics I've seen of her brothers - they look IDK very disturbed to me - just dark pics & strange stares on their faces ...

kinda creeped me out

MB has a straight and narrow half sis who works for MODOT. Could be why they are keeping this close to the vest.

And now I'm off to bed.

There was a case a few years ago where a little girl came across a meth lab by accident and was killed for it. I think it was in Wisconsin but not sure. I don't know what to think as far as motive for this.

trust me, the meth is bad everywhere - I live in Canada & it has infiltrated even the smallest of towns here - I wanna say esp. in the last 2 years or so ... it is scary & it is sickening
