MO - Furious Friends Demand Answers After 3 Men Found Dead at Kansas City Home Days After Watching Football Game, January 2024 #4

I don't see any updates since Jan 15 when KCPD said they hope to "have an update for EVERYONE by the end of the week" which would have been Jan 17 (my CAPS).

Maybe I missed it. Anyone?
If you missed it then I missed it too. Looks like KCPD wasn't/isn't ready to give that update, which makes me question if they really told a reporter that. Usually LE is pretty tight-lipped until they are absolutely ready to say something. JMO

No specific person was named as having expressed this 'hope'. Maybe it was a nice receptionist politely saying 'sorry, I'll forward on your request for an interview and maybe someone will be able to speak with you next week'.

Media want to portray how dedicated they are to answering everyone's questions, and don't want to admit they can't. They find it impossible to say "no one will talk to me so I'm moving on to cover another story".

I think it's good news that police/prosecutors aren't publishing all the details of this story. That would mean they'd washed their hands of it: this is what we think happened, and it's not our problem, case closed.

Did I miss something? Who the heck is Ivory J. Carson?
Carson is the supplier AKA drug dealer.

Investigators linked the drugs to Carson, who admitted to selling cocaine to the victims prior to Jan. 1. Text message data further confirmed Carson as the group’s primary supplier.

DNA to the rescue.

DNA evidence linked Willis and Carson to the drugs, according to the charging documents.
