MO - Furious Friends Demand Answers After 3 Men Found Dead at Kansas City Home Days After Watching Football Game, January 2024 #4

Clayton McGeeney, Ricky Johnson, and David Harrington were found dead at a house near Northwest Waukomis Drive and Northwest Barry Road around 10 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2024.

Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson with:

  • delivery of a controlled substance (two counts)
  • involuntary manslaughter (three counts)

The bonds for Willis and Carson were set at $100,000.

What do those of you who followed this case very closely think about this? Are you surprised that JW is being charged?
No. His behavior was totally unbelievable. There's no way he didn't know they were lying dead outside, especially when you couple that with him not answering the panicked phone calls of their loved ones. This was a man with something to hide.

Wasn’t he reading the Facebook messages & just not responding ? Then answered the door with a glass of wine in his hand or something crazy 😂

Yes. Such an oversell on his part. Trying to make it appear he was oblivious because he was under the influence.

If I'm reading the accounts correctly-- Carson sold to the victims and to Willis, I'm kind of surprised Willis was charged. Was Willis the contact between Carson and the others who purchased drugs that night? (The ones who died) That's the only way it makes sense to me that Willis was charged if the dead men were purchasers.

Hmmm... would that be enough to arrest JW , though ?

I'm still curious if he slipped up somewhere via text, phone, or speaking to another person, and LE know that JW knew they were dead in his back yard and didn't call 911.
Good to see some movement in this case, I was worried it wasn't going forward.
Imo.

Ahh, yes. TY for the reminder. The men’s cars were all at his house still, ALONG WITH reading the Facebook messages friends and family were sending him— there’s NO WAY he didn’t know. 🤦‍♀️

Curious, though, if he moved their bodies? 🤔
I don't believe Willis would have been able to move the bodies (dead weight). I think they all did the cocaine mixed with fentanyl and the 3 went outside to cool down and get air and probably collapsed where they stood and froze to death.

It says that the drugs were sold on Jan 1 days before the game. I wonder if Willis did a smaller amount and survived because he went upstairs and passed out verses going outside. Cocaine and fentanyl mixture causes severe respiratory failure magnified even more when drinking alcohol.

Either way, I'm glad to see charges brought against both Carson and Willis. LE needs to start sticking it to these drug suppliers whether or not the victims willingly use. It reminds me of the case of the 5 comedians in Los Angeles that did the same thing at a party, 4 died yet one female survived. :(

I'm not sure if introducing the dead men to a dealer would be enough. But knowing the men were dead in the yard seems irrelevant to me. At most that might be failure to report a corpse or something like that. But both men are charged with 3 counts of involuntary manslaughter and with supplying illicit substances. Not with failure to report dead bodies.

I know people on WS didn't like it in another case when they thought people knew the location of a dead body and didn't report it. But sometimes that's not illegal as long as there's no lying to LE to constitute obstruction. It may not be "nice" but that doesn't make it illegal.

Some are wondering why Willis is being charged if Carson was the supplier. I'm going to guess that since the drugs were purchased days before the game/party, that Caron sold the drugs to Willis and then, Willis provided them to the deceased.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two men have been charged after investigators say they were connected to the deaths of three Chiefs fans who were found dead in the backyard of a Northland home back in January 2024.

According to court records, Jordan Willis and Ivory J. Carson have been charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.

IMO - Well, well, well. My suspicions of JW were absolutely correct all along. MOO

Unless it was 2 people who moved them—
