If he never uses his back door, how could his dogs escape from the fenced in back yard?
Dogs can climb fences. People can leave gates open.

Another thought on the fentanyl theory...is it true that you can die from giving mouth to mouth to someone dying of fentanyl? I think it is and that happened with a group before. So maybe 1 or 2 went down and 1 or 2 performed cpr and also went down. Maybe the guy on the porch performed CPR when he saw the 2 go down in the yard...maybe those 2 went to smoke on their way out. 3rd guy saw them go down and tried to do cpr and then ran to porch to get 4th guy inside to call foe help and he went down on the porch.

Fatal overdose from performing CPR is not possible.

Example: “The published statements that two of the victims absorbed enough fentanyl to overdose while performing CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation are dubious and scientifically extremely unlikely….There is unanimous agreement among physicians and toxicologists, as well as clear evidence that toxicity and overdose from passive exposure to fentanyl is not possible.”

Yes, sorry, I didn't realize you were including wind chill and referring to the 7th. The article you linked was paywalled for me and based on what I could see, mostly the photo at the top, it appeared to be referencing the deep freeze game on the 14th. My apologies.
I'm sorry you couldn't open the link. I've posted another below. The actual temp around midnight was 30 degrees plus there was a slight wind. We don't know what time the three left the house or how they were dressed.

I grew up in Kansas City and my family are still huge Chiefs fans. I just hope the three young men were unconscious from the cold and did not suffer. May they RIP.

I am a bit confused. What evening was it that these guys watched the game and died?

It was Sunday January 7. And they were found Tuesday Jan 9.

Ok thank you. The first report I read on this referenced "saturday" and I was thinking that didn't make sense.

Yup, sloppy reporting.

I haven't seen this discussed, but this article says the three men arrived at the home AFTER the end of the game.

Weirder and weirder.

Yes, it’s very strange.

The three men arrived at Willis' house on Saturday, Jan. 7, sometime after that night's football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders had concluded, Picerno said. The game, which saw the Chiefs defeat the Raiders, ended at approximately 9 p.m.

What happened next remains a mystery to everyone, including Willis, according to his lawyer.

I doubt that the guys were expert at CPR or rather, in a shape to perform CPR.

After Covid, CPR changed. Basically, it relies more on chest compressions. I bought an Ambu bag, not because of fentanyl but because simply you don't know what infection you are exposing yourself to when trying to help street people. I heard about the danger of inhaling fentanyl when giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but since I don't know what techniques they use with fentanyl (eat, smoke, snort or what?) I can't form an informed opinion.

IMO, I actually completely buy the part where it says he didn't see the Facebook messages on his phone. I still chat with a few people that way, and the actual browsing app and the messenger app like to disconnect from each other all the time, so I'll get loads of messages and not even see them until the next time I check on a computer (and I don't use social media on my computer that often.)

No. The game ended at 6:25pm central time.
Where are people getting 9pm?

Thank you - I was using the graph on the same page. At any rate 30F is not exactly going to freeze an adult who has the sense to move around and get out of the cold. Lying down on the ground in those temps is a bad idea. But these are not the much colder temperatures that could incapacitate people quickly. And almost no wind in the late evening.

Game kick-off, according to the NFL schedule was at 1:25 PT (the game was in Los Angeles, I believe). So 3:25 in MO?

I read that the game was over at 6:30ish (Central Time; 4:30 PT, which tracks). I'm not sure where the 9:30 pm ending time comes from.

Just like the four dead in Palmdale, LE is not treating this as a homicide. I can only think of one other hypothesis.

IMO.

That is weird. The Chiefs played the Raiders in November.

They played the Chargers. Raiders belong to Las Vegas now.

ETA that article is all wrong!

Assuming it's true that he answered the door in his boxers--who in their right mind does that?

Mr. Izzy runs around the house in his boxers and T-shirt sometimes, but he would never answer the door without putting on pants.

boxers are just like shorts
if I looked out my window and saw cops, I wouldn't likely take the time to put more clothes on

Bbm do you mean impossible to NOT be missed?

No, I'm saying my response was to posters who say it's impossible to miss (ie not see) 3 dead bodies.
