There are some more pics here. I think he might look a tad different than the pic they used based on his profile.

Missing Gideon man found dead in Stoddard Co., Mo.

Two miles from the accident scene. Almost certainly transported or fleeing pursuit (or both)
I agree! At first I was thinking maybe he was injured from a wreck due his car being found in the ditch. I was thinking he might have lost control and crashed. I also was thinking he may have had the accident due to a medical condition like blood sugar problems etc. I thought maybe he wondered away from the car looking from help and succumbed to his injuries or passed due to the severity of a medical condition . This whole case seems strange and after reading the whole article and it stated that there would be an autopsy that makes me think they are suspecting foul play.

Some chance of intoxication followed by succumbing to elements, altered priorities putting escape from prosecution above personal safety. More common at this age. Autopsy may be more focused on toxicology but we'll find out tomorrow when the results of the physical examination come out. Personally, still leaning toward foul play.

New news article published today with a little more info.

Standard Democrat News Said.
"New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens reported the body of Gary K. Cagle Jr., 22, was discovered on a farm turn row, just across the county line in Stoddard County."

Sheriff Stevens also stated “We don’t believe there was any foul play. There was no sign of injury or trauma.”

Here is a link to the full article. I am still interested in knowing their findings and what the physical examination says. I'm still thinking there was foul play. I could be wrong but something just doesn't seem right with the whole incident.
Gideon man's body located during search

I dunno, I generally have confidence in law enforcement to at least spot wounds or recognize if someone's been run over or beaten. I'm more inclined now to think he was very intoxicated and went overland in hopes of avoiding a DUI. Passed out in the elements and succumbed.

That is very possible and they have outstanding hard working very dedicated law enforcement officials down in that area! I agree that it was most likely what you were saying. Something just felt off to me from the beginning when the news came out that this guy was missing. There were some other photos posted on Facebook when you do a search that threw up a few red flags to me and made me wonder if he may have been affiliated with some type of gang or something.
