Letter from atty/activist Eric Vickers tells MLB Comm Selig "all is not joy" in Card Nation b/c of Mike Brown case.


Vickers Selig letter: events have included protest groups/civil disobedience arrests/blocking public transportation.


Cards spokesperson:team talking MLB/local police about security including potential for Mike Brown demonstrations.


Cardinals spokesperson: authorities will do whatever is necessary to make sure everything is peaceful/not disruptive.


As part enhanced playoff security, Clark St by Ballpark Village for ticket holders only starting 4 hrs before game.

Stl County Police say for 3rd night in row there were no arrests or incidents at Ferguson protests. Police say all protests were lawful.

Cardinals playoff game could be target for Mike Brown shooting protestors

The earlier Cards game protest was uneventful iirc, apart from two middle-aged white women being escorted out of the stadium to loud applause for hanging pro-MB/anti-racist StL banners. The only St. Louis cops I remember were on their bicycles, watching the small protest but generally not interfering as arriving fans made their way into the game. I wonder how the purported protest plan to "occupy" all the Metrolink seats to the game/s is going?

"We are praying and waiting, crying and waiting, talking and waiting," said Angela Whitman, 44, who started protesting shortly after the shooting. "If we do not get an indictment and there is no conviction, they are talking about burning our whole state down. They are talking about a whole state that they are going to take control of and just start burning stuff down. Why do we have to go through all that? This is simply about what's right and what's wrong."

it's ignorant statements like these that do nothing to further the cause IMHO especially supported by Lawyers & Clergy members

GJ will NEVER indict ODW on murder charges IMHO & definitely not 1st degree (Death Penalty)

Doesn't it seem a bit wrong/illeagle/terroristic for this upcoming demonstration to be more or less ok'd by the city? IF in fact it is allowed?

ODW HAS NOT been charged with any crime !!!!!>>>
Yet the so called protesters are allowed to plan action that is really no more than domestic terrorism.....like threatening a HUGE city event.

The YouTube video shows several hundred protesters walking peacefully down a StL sidewalk, many as family units with children in strollers, chanting now familiar ditties. I only noticed one black among them, and he seemed imo to be trying to navigate his way through the crowd to somewhere else.
