Yeah, I can see that scenario & trying to move the GJ to St Clair/Madison County IL (probably State laws prevent this) but in reality this case would be changed to a venue even more "white" than StL County here in the weird state of MO. I'm sure City of StL has a GJ process/forum & could hear it but there are so many open murder cases in the City right now, pfft -- does this venue have time?

Yep -- local radio is talking about the Twitter feed - no set back, no anything thing but another unfounded Tweet out there

Such a circus -- I love Stream may be voted in just "because"; man, I must get out of here & soon -- I am thankful where my house is the area is booming :) but was carp 20 yrs ago

Impossible to move it to Illinois. The problem, if there is one, in this instance has nothing to do with venue. It has to do with a juror running their mouth, if it's true. The only fix for that, unfortunately, is sequestering the GJ, not a different venue. Even if the physical location is moved to say St. Charles County or Jefferson County or Franklin County or Cape Girardeau County, they'd probably still pull the jurors from St. Louis County.

I think those are McCulloch's words. He probably should have chosen better words. As in, we don't foresee any setbacks, not that there is no setback as if he'd already pre-determined that.

I totally agree ! but nothing is more diverse than StL County unless they move it west toward KCMO

investigation may be complete but the GJ may not be . . . ARGH I hate the media

For those who missed it earlier, McCulloch very clearly said today as did LE agencies that the investigation and report are not yet complete, in addition to the grand jury still reviewing evidence. CNN just jumped to complete from "basically complete" statement Magee made.

Prosecutor Bob McCulloch says that no police report has been filed yet regarding shooting of Michael Brown - says PD still collecting info

St. Louis Co PD say investigation not done, report not done & report won't be made available until after case closed (no indictment/trial)

Stlpublicradio has the audio of the interview with McCulloch today, in case it helps.

Good to hear about using alternates on grand juries as well. I truly hope they did they did so here. If so, the only question is (and that's even assuming there is legitimacy to the tweet) is did that one juror taint the others.

To give credence to that post is to give it life. I chose to ignore.

Because of the threats and protestors I was think more along the lines of a Federal Grand Jury. Not sure they can do that but it would solve a lot of problems.

Actually, the appropriate thing for the prosecutor to do is follow the law.

Please point to where I said the prosecutor shouldn't. Did Crump use a wrong word? Yes. Does the Judge and not DA empanel a GJ? Yes. Is there apparently an option of continuing without an excused juror or to empanel a new GJ? Apparently. Given the nature of that tweet, again assuming it's legitimate, then hell yes Crump should be calling for a new GJ and it would be negligent of him to not do so. I detest Crump but I can recognize that it is simply lawyering.

Now camera man and protesters are talking about gay weddings and making wedding cakes for gay people.

This guy is all over the place.

IMO, a good attorney would want to follow the law.

Period.
