"What?! Did Joe Biden really say that?!"

So....did Joe Biden make a statement or comment about Ferguson?

Because of the threats and protestors I was think more along the lines of a Federal Grand Jury. Not sure they can do that but it would solve a lot of problems.

No, McCulloch covered that in his interview on StL Public Radio today. Federal grand juries only investigate federal crimes.

First, there haven't been any articulable threats against the jurors. Other than potentially this one person, I don't know if anyone else even knows who is serving. I'm not sure what the protesters have to do with it. If you're talking about too much media coverage and that create preconceived answers that can't be set aside regardless of what the evidence shows, then maybe it's a different story, but that's a pretty tough standard. Maybe GJ's are different though.

As well as any good attorney should be.

Attorneys IMHO need to know the law & the application of such law before they spout trash or Tweet, yes Tweet!

Is this dude even licensed to practice in MO?! And about the change of venue to the more compassionate areas of St Clair/Madison Counties of IL - will never happen in a State case. Feds will have to prosecute themselves if the State/County doesn't

Please point to where I said the prosecutor shouldn't. Did Crump use a wrong word? Yes. Does the Judge and not DA empanel a GJ? Yes. Is there apparently an option of continuing without an excused juror or to empanel a new GJ? Apparently. Given the nature of that tweet, again assuming it's legitimate, then hell yes Crump should be calling for a new GJ and it would be negligent of him to not do so. I detest Crump but I can recognize that it is simply lawyering.

It was NOT good 'lawyering' because there were legal errors. One thing you hope from your lawyer is that he gives you accurate legal information.

It was good 'race-baiting' however. I am sure it has been retweeted a zillion times and his minions will be outraged if the 'prosecutor' does not immediately impound a new panel. Even though that is not what is legally required.

And civil rights. What are Officer Wilson's civil rights?

Masri said Ohio cops shot mentally ill man yesterday, but I only found this story where a guy, sitting on his steps, called police to his home, told them he had big problems and that his family had tried to kill him the night before. When asked, he told police he didn't have a gun then reached under his shirt, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at officers. Officers took cover and shot at the man but missed: http://wkbn.com/2014/10/01/suspect-fires-on-youngstown-police/

Good illustration of the hazards every cop faces every day.

did that one juror taint the others.

I think some concepts are getting mixed up here. IF the tweet is legitimate and IF the grand juror spoke to someone outside the jury, that juror would have broken the secrecy rule. This GJ is not sequestered. There's no way, even IF all those things are true, for that to "taint" other grand jurors.

per McCulloch the Feds will have to assume responsibility for this State issue -- and I don't think it will happen 'cause it's not a Federal crime

there is no Fed Grand Jury going on at this time about ODW probable cause because it's a State issue - now there is a Fed investigation as well as a StL County investigation going on which I hear is almost complete.

RE; the GJ leak;

First of all, who knows if the conversation ever happened. Why do 'insiders' here have to be verified before they can post any info? Because we all know how many trolls there are, making chit up.

So I doubt seriously there was ever anything to this story.
