I never saw a gun. I saw protestors banging threateningly on the restaurant windows, as they marched past. At one point, I HEARD a marcher say ' he's got a gun' but i never saw a gun. And when the protestors said they had video proof, they couldn't find any. I don't think anyone pulled a gun.

Thanks. I was also watching that evening and had stepped away from my computer when this happened. I've seen many events exaggerated and embellished by protesters and wondered if this incident had been, as well.

I have a question:
On the night of the "candlelight vigil" when protesters said the owner pulled a gun on them, was that action observed by any of you on the livestream? Or are we only going by what protesters claimed they observed?

I also watched the live stream, didn't see a gun as a protester 'claimed' they saw. Tuesday night, when Faraci patrons all gathered outside, one of the protesters called the police stating that one of the customers getting pizza had a gun also. The police searched the pizza peeps and their pizza boxes and.............no gun. SMH such drama.

The Argus cameraman was running along behind the police officer when they started yelling he has a gun. The officer arrived with the cameraman following close behind. The man did not appear to have a gun and he was not arrested. At the time the crowd was yelling and screaming down the street with LE tailing them.

I also saw someone being removed from a home in the residential area because they had an asthma attack where the protestor were chanting. So the were scaring people. jmo

It's not even drama.

Ok @AntonioFrench from st. Louis and used #Ferguson to negotiate 500k for his foundation!! This guy is Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson #FRUAD!!

MariaChappelleNadal‏@MariaChappelleN·26 mins26 minutes ago
@goldietaylor We should be asking for MILLIONS for #Ferguson. 500k is pennies when the state budget is 24 billion. Force $$ into #Ferguson!

AND, iirc, the police went inside Faraci's to talk with the owner(?) that night. The police would have known right there if he had a gun on him.

Sounds like Reb_Z heard about "evac plan" 3 hours ago, tried to bring it up at Nixon/French presser at noon, contacted James who confirmed, then James said something about an evac plan if no indictment (may have laughed) during the KMOX radio show in the last hour. Clear as mud.

Ok, looks like Argus News heard about this from a protestor whose mom heard it on NPR this morning, then confirmed with Devin. Guessing it was in reference to all the contingency plans for GJ.

Better late than never the protestors start realizing some instigators are exploiting them for their own benefit.

But I don't see why the marchers would be so mad about French getting a big donation to 'his' foundation. Because the foundation totally benefits low income students. It is a FREE tutoring program, exactly like the one I worked for in South Central LA>

Ours did awesome work for students who seriously wanted help.

according to this - he put the gun in his pocket after the harassment/threats:

But Marshall's wife, Dawne, tells Daily RFT the protesters have it all wrong: She says her husband was afraid for his safety, so he cocked a pistol and placed it in his pocket while inside the store. She says he never aimed the weapon at anybody. She also says their business has endured days of harassment over a "lie that went wildfire" on social media.

edit - & it's kinda ironical when that female livestreamer was starving - she said she wouldn't go in there = felt afraid for her safety. perhaps she should stop & realize just how threatened the owner felt.

Probably not. His program focuses on math and science and helps the students in North St Louis area to keep up in those subjectsas those are the ones needed to get good local jobs on graduation.

What French is doing has much greater impact upon the future for these kids than what Lost Voices etc are doing. They are trying to ' bankrupt' Ferguson. They are PROUD that the city is overdrawn by 2 million in police overtime. They say they want to quadruple that bill in hopes of bankrupting the city. They also want to close down more local businesses, like they did with the Farmers mkt and Street Festival. So everything they do is disruptive and has a negative impact.

Meanwhile, French gets a big donation to help low income youth get good jobs upon graduation and they whine and complain and want him banished.
