and why would anyone believe DJ?

based on his past interactions with LE not to mention his differing interviews with the Lame Stream Media

I never said I believe DJ. But it is exactly what the chief said also. That that DW asked them to get out of the street and moved on.

I hope when you go out you are locked and loaded, even if just in your car (no permit required).

Please don't take chances, you don't want to be defenseless in your car and suddenly realized there is trouble.

CCW & proud!!!

NOTE: I went to Officer Wilson's rally yesterday & they made us check our weapons!
It's happening at a cop bar, so we were "safe"

I don't think OW had any intention of actually writing them a ticket, let alone shooting one of them dead. I think he just wanted them to get out of the street. Then they started with the cocky attitude and when he tried to engage back with them, he was attacked, punched in the face and had his weapon compromised and a fire shot off.

Sorry, If he left, then he was not too concerned about what they were doing. I don't see anywhere where they refused. If they did he would not have pulled away.
And again, That is not a crime punishable by death.

Jaywalking is not anything more than a citation and moving on. You don't get arrested for jaywalking.

A couple of threads ago there was the whole 'jaywalking' thing posted. It was proven what they were doing wasn't jaywalking.

A quick google should get you the definition. I'm on my phone so I can't search and link.

I believe Darien actually stated "It was not but a minute to our destination"

:drumroll:

It really seems to me that the officer was paraphrasing that quote. I can't imagine a teen boy who is not in prep school talking like that!

  • #466
He said they would soon be out of the street. Also DW pulled away, So it must not have been any issue right there. He kept moving on. So there was nothing in the way they acted that caused him concern at that point.

he moved away 'cause the alert for MB & DJ came across the radio IMHO & then confronted them

And IMHO it is asinine to walk in the middle of the street when there is a sidewalk available or not use crosswalks -- WTH is up with that? Total Lack Of Respect for your community -- same with littering

NOTE: another officer was on the scene within one minute of the shooting . . . why on Earth doesn't FPD have partner LEOs on Saturdays in crime-ridden neighborhoods? Just wild ODW was by himself (he was at the apt complex due to a medical emergency)

We were discussing the period of time when MB was fatally shot. He was not grabbing for OW's gun at that time. He couldn't have been. He would need to be right beside him to grab his gun. Whether or not he grabbed OW's gun in the car is both speculation and a separate point. MB was not fatally shot at that time.

It is not a separate point. The entire incident spanned 50 seconds. So if he grabbed the gun in the car, after punching the cop in the face, that is a legit reason for the cop to use lethal force to subdue him.

IMHO it's the opinion shared in some communities, especially "up there". Pizza delivery places don't even venture into those apt complexes any longer after the drivers' getting shot/killed for pizza & $50 in cash -- please check out the stats of murders in/around StL & how many are unsolved (IMHO due to lack of community involvement - Snitches Get Stitches ya know)

IMHO it's all about RESPECT! Respect yourself & others, especially authority -- I can't imagine not being taught that basic understanding

Heck, I question authority but still respect it :)

Can you provide us with a link to the pizza delivery man being killed?

And? When police officer hears a BOLO, he shouldn't apprehend the suspect? What are you arguing here? I don't even get it.

neither do I!

Wow! No wonder it's difficult for municipalities in North County & North StL to retain stellar LEOs

You realize that area is much like southeast LA or Detroit? and apt complexes full of nastiness

Obviously the gun was out. At what point it came out in the altercation at the SUV is unknown to us. Whether or not MB grabbed at it, pushed it or touched it is not known to us at this time. Whether or not DW was punched is not known at this time. Proof is in forensics. At this time, most of the facts of this event are not established. We can only speculate. Which is exactly what we are all doing. I have no idea what forensics reports will reveal. If GJ finds no true bill, the DA said that all reports will be available to the public. Maybe we will learn something then. JMO

Forensics has lead to the CSI Effect and seems to have replaced good old common sense.

Understanding what forensics can and can't do...and it's limitations ....would require the reintroduction of logic and common sense...

All IMO

IMHO the fatal shot on top of the head was when MB charged at ODW

Oh wow. The look on that poor reporters face
I turned it off after about 9 seconds when she said, "he shot that LITTLE BOY"

I am not sure how you can say they they didnt refuse. As you have said, Dorian said NO, we are a block away, we will be out of street soon. THAT IS REFUSING THE DIRECTIVE TO GET OUT OF THE STREET.

If something like that was said, IMO it was said by MB, not petite, behind-car hider, stolen-cigars returner, teller-of-"truth"-most-likely-to-allow-me-to-live-another-day Dorian.

OK, I stand corrected. I had not seen the interview and only read news accounts on this interaction. Nice to see a well-spoken young man.

Yes, so well spoken. Do you think he actually told that to a cop? We are but a minute to our destination...
LOL.

He moved along because he assumed they would step out of the street. He gave them an order and kept going, then saw in his mirror that they were refusing. jmo

eta: they were blocking traffic. Do u really think he would have been satisfied hearing the teens say we will be gone after a block?

Naw, he heard on his radio after telling them to take it to the sidewalk & get out of the middle of the road -- that these 2 fit the description of the thieves at Ferguson's/Sam's Meat Shop

But there is no proof that MB "charged at" OW. I wish we knew more.
