I believe it was just the controller.
Had it been. A game gun I could have understood.
That looks more like a TV remote control.

That happened near me, gngr~snap. That female officer had previously shot at, and missed, a kid while he was opening his backpack. Not only did the gj decide not to charge her, she's still on the force. Her pic isn't on the website with pics of other officers, but her name is still listed with them.

Dr. Ben Carson ROCKS!

It's people like him that should replace the Al Shartons of this country.

Was the Hispanic young man involved in a strong armed robbery, assault a law enforcement officer and attempt to get the officer's firearm? Did the Hispanic young man then bum rush the officer? Apples and oranges, aa9511, imo...

I don't think it's so much apples and oranges.

He victim's mother had called 911 to call officers for help because she worried about her son, who she said was yelling and throwing things in the home (IIRC). She went to the neighbor's and called 911 to see if police officers could calm him down.

Calm him down they sure did.

It's not so much apples and oranges. There was a recorded 911 call stating that he was acting erractically. Same thing like video camera of stealing, IMO. Then when police officers showed up at the door, he wouldn't let them in. He said I'm not letting you in without a warrant. He was being defiant.

Nope, actually many many similarities, IMO.

The victim in that case, Danny, also pi**** off the White police officer.

We already witnessed the brazen disrespect for the law Mike Brown displayed that day. Why should I believe he changed in an instant?

I think MB thought Office Wilson wouldn't shoot him.

I think MB thought he could intimidate Officer Wilson the same way he intimidated the storekeeper 10 minutes before.

Maybe he thought OW was out of bullets? Didn't someone report that MB said "you ain't gonna shoot me."
Did he think OW had fired all of his rounds?
I don't even know even many rounds their magazine carries.

Did Mike Brown play football for his school?

Michael Brown, aka "Big Mike," has been described as too "gentle" to play football. But a police report released Friday, and photos of Mike Brown flashing 'gang signs,' paint a different portrait of black teenager fatally shot Saturday, Aug. 9.
http://news.yahoo.com/ferguson-shooting-whats-known-now-michael-brown-123335396.html

His family tried to get him to play football. Brown was too timid for the sport, Mr. Ewing said.

Michael Brown had struggled in school, but had graduated Aug. 1 from Normandy High School, and had been staying at his grandmother's apartment in Ferguson this summer.

I also believe that mindset played a role in the car confrontation. And once those wheels were set in motion I believe it may have been all panicked reaction to the idea that he was about to be arrested, hence reported running, then as OW fired shots the realization set in that he would not evade, MB changed tactics.

And to be clear, if things happened the way I think they did at the car, OW was within protocol to attempt to pursue. Any man who will assault or attempt to assault or disarm or attempt to disarm an officer of the law in broad daylight over a dispute about getting out of the middle of the road is a very clear and present threat to public safety IMO. Therefore justified in attempting to apprehend and yes, even use deadly force to do so. Many appear to disagree with those protocols and if they do then that is what they have a problem with and they need to work towards getting those protocols changed.

That is where I sit at the moment.

If evidence disputes my take on things then I will glady re evaluate that opinion.

<BBM for Focus>

According to Fox News contributor Rob Wheeler, a former D.C. homicide detective--> 12 rounds in the clip and 1 round in the chamber...

It's possible imo DW fired at a fleeing MB and perhaps purposely missed, if there were no bldgs/people in his line of sight. Something caused MB to stop and turn around, and a fear of being shot in the back makes the most sense to me. I see MB appearing very agitated/hyper, moving about and mouthing off at DW while gesturing with his arms wide, and speaking loudly to the apartment/s crowd as much as to DW, "What? You gonna shoot me, you blanketty-blank-blank?" ... all the while ignoring DW's orders to "freeze"/"get down", etc. ... then charging DW, who quickly put a stop to that.

IMO You can't even compare Chrisman shooting Rodriguez to ODW shooting MB. Two totally different scenario's.

MB was already a proven thief in the store (by video) and disobeying a LEO.

Rodriguez didn't do anything wrong, and was trying to leave his residence. Also a taser didn't work so Chrisman shot him to death. Even though a jury could not agree on Murder a plea was done instead of another trial. Chrisman is serving time in prison.

Chrisman thread is here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...f-Richard-Chrisman&highlight=richard+chrisman

Again IMO

I would not donate to either camp at this point. I think there is still too much to this story that is not clear.

That is not what the evidence says. Since the arms move when we run it is possible that he was shot as he was running away and that was the catalyst for him turning around. It is absolutely possible given the autopsy diagram and we know that OW was shooting at him while he was running away.

According to 'Professor' Parcells.

No there is no case where a police officer fires his gun to deliberately miss. Especially on a residential street.

I don't have any comment on Parcells. But it is basic anatomy and Cyril Wecht also said the same thing. He could have been hit while running away.

As I said WAYYY back, if the prosecutor did NOT do this in good faith, the prosecutor should be prosecuted. JMO

Why? Is a prosecutor ALWAYS supposed to prosecute, even if he does not find legal cause?
