Per French, protestors are marching "toward police". Vine videos at his twitter. Yeah, clearly they're afraid of LE.

I've been thinking the same thing for the past several weeks.

After watching the live feed of the previous council meeting, where several people claimed how "afraid" they are of the police, and after juxtaposing their comments with the actions from many of the so-called "protesters" - I haven't seen anyone who is "afraid" of the police.

What I've seen (via the various live feeds of the so-called protests and city council meetings) are immature, willfully ignorant people who have no respect for the law, no respect for those who have sworn to enforce the law, and no respect for anyone who dares to disagree with their immature, willfully ignorant opinions and actions.

In particular: at the recent attempt to shut down the highway, I didn't see anyone afraid of the police. What I saw was a bunch of defiant, ill-informed ignoramuses whose actions wasted untold thousands of tax-payer dollars.

I'm so ornery if I had been a member on that council, I would have been cleaning my nails and picking my nose. When they started their chanting, I would have been moving my head or tapping my hands to the rhythm of the chant.:giggle:

People who are so weak that they can't control their anger are so funny to me. Like I'm watching an adult size toddler pitching a fit because they don't want to eat their green beans. :tantrum:

Or they're afraid of the police alright, but only because interaction with LE costs them $$$$ they don't want to spend IMO

That's the scope of their fear of police

Walking contradictions.

They are teaching their children to fear the police because they will shoot because they're black....and in the next breath...come on child, get dressed...we're going to openly disrespect and ignore directives from law enforcement!!!!

Great parenting!!!

Protestor just told me that they’ll stop protesting once Wilson is indicted. #Ferguson

Yep, I'm sure they'll get right on that for you.

Anything else we can do for you while we're at it?

Do you think anyone has explained to these people the difference between "freedom of speech" and "terroristic threatening"?

I think many people refuse to acknowledge or admit it, even if they're intelligent enough to grasp it.

I've seen too many apparently literate people dodge and weave when they're told the difference between:

"Do this"
Vs
"Do this OR ELSE (insert threats like shutting down interstates or personal violence)

I know - right? If the fear on the part of some of these so-called "protesters" was genuine - why would they put their children at risk of being harmed by the big bad police?

Answer: they're either willing to place their children in harm's way, or they're lying about being "afraid" of the police - or both.

Here's who these folks need to be afraid of: the nutcases out there who don't care who gets hurt - namely, the violent gun-toting thugs who've been firing into the crowds, killing and injuring people.

"You're like ISIS to black people." - Anthony Shahid, who takes stuffed dogs with him to symbolize civil right movement. #STLCCM #Ferguson

I had to log out when I saw that earlier, otherwise, I would have said something :censored:

Did anyone figure out what he had around his neck tonight?

(I just decided not to try to catch up anymore tonight. I just got my chill back and don't want to lose it again. :sheesh: )
