reedus23 -- thx for link.

"Country Club Hills issued 1.5 warrants per resident last year. But what’s accumulated is even more striking: the city reported 33,000 outstanding warrants, or about 26 per resident."

All stemming from traffic violations?
Accumulating, starting when? How many yrs ago.
Is it poss some accumulated warrants were issued for ppl no longer CCH residents?

I'm leaning towards deliberately lying. If that video existed, IMO we would know about it.

Also, how would CNN get it so soon after the shooting?

Lying IMO too. From Baden's prelim autopsy, it was reported Mike fell forward on his face, and we can tell he's not lying on his side but fully extended on the ground. Also, for him to be felled by two shots, then shot more on the ground doesn't match witnesses, Wilson's acct per multiple sources or autopsy.

While there are many black people/families/who are failing to raise their children right by instilling in them the importance of education, respect for others, obeying laws, working hard to provide for their families, you don't often hear from them. Why? Well because they are busy working, raising kids, taking care of their family and doing right in life. They don't have the spare time to go looking for trouble. They don't seek out the news crews and start acting a fool in front of them. They probably do not want to get embroiled in the issues and say that those looters, agitators and such are wrong because they know these people will quickly turn on them and attack them for "acting white" or some other BS.

Sadly the media often picks some of the stupidest people to interview (of every race). Many decent people decline to be interviewed and do not want to go on Tv. My fiance and I were approached by news crews many times after Katrina and we declined. We valued our privacy and were just too overwhelmed to deal with all that. We just wanted to be left alone to deal with our life. But who is more than willing to be on Tv and revel in that moment than a fool who wants their 15 minutes of fame. So who do we see a lot of on the news? An awful lot of fools. JMO of course

A newly-formed coalition of African American Democrats announced Wednesday they will not back any candidate that has exhibited “disrespect” for the black community on issues such as education, jobs and racial profiling.

Headed by St. Louis County Chairwoman Hazel Erby, D-1st District, the coalition – named for Mississippi civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer – pointedly withheld support for Steve Stenger, the Democratic seeking the County Executive post in the November general election.

Erby hedged when asked if the coalition would instead stand behind Republican State Rep. Rick Stream or put forth the name of a write-in candidate in November.

“We are exploring our options,” she told a Wednesday morning press conference at Berkeley City Hall.

Berkeley Mayor Theodore Hoskins was not as circumspect.

“Steve Stenger,” he said, “does not have the best interests of our community.”

I would guess they go back a number of years. I would bet that not only are they for people who are no longer residents, but some of the warrants are for people who were never residents in the first place. It's also just a guess, but I would imagine a vast majority are for traffic related offenses, though I'd bet there's some for things like possession, peace disturbance and stuff like that too. Anything much more serious would likely get certified to the County.

There's a Republican somewhere laughing his arse off.

Discussions about slavery are off topic. Check your history books. All of us have had ancestors who at some point along the line were slaves. It has nothing to do with what is happening today. So can we put this puppy to bed.

Erby prominently displays an endorsement from Lacy Clay on her website. Looks like shes currently running for reelection. We discussed him before. If that's who she wants to associate with, it says a lot about her, IMO. I think a lot of these politicians don't want their names added to the target list by the rioters too. http://www.hazelerby.com/

Clay made headlines in early 2007 when, as a member of the Congressional Black Caucus (co-founded by his father), he objected to the possible inclusion of U.S. Representative Steve Cohen of Tennessee, a Caucasian who represents the majority-African American district in Memphis and had made a campaign promise to attempt to become the first white member of the CBC. Although it is not part of the CBC's bylaws that members must be black, all members so far have been black.[5] Clay told Cohen "that he could not collaborate with the Congressional Black Caucus for the benefit of his black constituents 'until your skin turns black.'"
