It's pretty obvious she didn't see it happen and has interjected herself into it for the attention.

In the interview she does on the lawn in the neighborhood she admits she was friends with MB. And the only video she has is of the aftermath.

I’m a cop. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me. http://wapo.st/1n4PsJ3 via @washingtonpost good advice, but chafes anyhow.

It’s not the police, but the people they stop, who can prevent a detention from turning into a tragedy.

No officer goes out in the field wishing to shoot anyone, armed or unarmed. And while they’re unlikely to defend it quite as loudly during a time of national angst like this one, people who work in law enforcement know they are legally vested with the authority to detain suspects — an authority that must sometimes be enforced. Regardless of what happened with Mike Brown, in the overwhelming majority of cases it is not the cops, but the people they stop, who can prevent detentions from turning into tragedies.

I really don't understand why the authorities have been treating the demonstrators with kid gloves. It's one thing to have a peaceful demonstration but this one has gone on for more than a week at a huge cost of resources, money and the livelihood of businesses. I just don't get why they have let this get so out of hand.

In an interview I saw yesterday, she claims she saw it happen and then turned away for about 30 seconds to get her phone. That 30 seconds is a long time in an event that probably unfolded entirely in less than that. There is no way she saw it happen.

Because they have every right to defend themselves.
They have a right to go home to their families every damn day.

A guy with a knife is advancing within arms reach ....he Needs to be STOPPED!

Good grief!!!!

Or maybe LE can start hugging these perps and telling them everything is going to be alright :therethere:

Show them the love that they so desperately crave.

Exactly-- Mark O'Mara was on CNN earlier today and specifically referenced the witnesses stories. While he didn't disparage or counter their accounts, he did remind us that the shooting itself probably only took 2-3 seconds tops. And in my mind, the entire encounter was probably less than a minute.

Police Officers put their lives on the line every single day they go to work. It's really bugging me that people feel like it is ok to sit back and judge, criticize, and demonize their actions. They deal with situations in split seconds of time. They have to make fast decisions. They have a right to defend themselves.

This entire situation in Ferguson is just insane. Last time I checked, we lived in a civilized society where people follow laws, and we have a justice system. Is it perfect? Maybe not. These so called "protestors" are a joke. They are acting like fools, and breaking the law. It certainly isn't helping and won't bring back MB. IMO they deserve whatever they get. The police certainly going to rollover and let them do as they please.

I'm also sick and tired of people getting in trouble with the police, and then crying about how bad the police are. Here is an idea:  DONT GET IN TROUBLE WITH THE POLICE! Sheesh. Then you have nothing to cry about.

Don't even get me started on Eric Holder getting involved. Talk about a cluster.

:seeya:

And risk turning on someone else?
You expect LE to keep retreating?
Clear the area? There were Two officers and a combative man wielding a knife four feet from an officer....

a lasso perhaps?

A lasso would have been a great idea in this case

I think she saw something ..but her interpretation is biased. She's not objective. She's telling her truth...and her minds filling in details.

Agree. She admitted on one of her videos that most of what she was saying was told to her by other people. Remember the telephone game?

Also wanted to point out that a few hours ago, when trying to view Black Canseco's video with the man talking in the background about Michael charging at the cop, the video was not available anymore, it has a message "this video is private". Either someone out there is doing damage control or perhaps LE has done this for the purpose of evidence collection.

Here is the short version of the background speaker with "translation"

Yes, I think I saw that. She was also on the opposite side of the driver's side of the car which is where it all went down. What do you bet the dozen eyewitnesses who corroborate Wilson's story were on the driver's side of the car?

I think she saw only the aftermath. No way did she see it happen because she claims he was shot while running away from the cops. She has tailored--and keeps tweaking her details--to justify a civil rights lawsuit. I doubt a Grand Jury will find her credible.

Didn't she say she was getting ready for work and the gunshot was what originally caught her attention?

I totally agree with the above statement. :)

Yep. And good luck with that damage control thing.

It's a little too late

And went from window to window? Or balcony?
Depends on the version...
