would require the DA to not present the case to the GJ. Technically, that determination can be made, and is made all the time. Here, it was a pretty much forgone conclusion that the case would be presented, probably regardless of the evidence, just because of public sentiment. So, regardless of what DJ's testimony is or was, they GJ still has to vote if the case is presented and no one can predict what the vote will be. There is also the Civil Rights case that is being investigated by the DOJ.

Now, if this story about DJ is true, then, yes, it is highly unlikely that the officer would be indicted by the GJ if the case is decided. It may also be that the DA would decline to present the case, since the closest witness has changed his story. However, changing your story isn't like a postive thing and usually means oyu have to assess credibility. So I doubt the DA will just take his word and decide not to present.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe. This guy has had an attorney from the beginning. It's not "impossible". Maybe DJ is ticked off for some reason. I don't pretend to understand the dynamics present here. But he wasn't the only witness and this is a pretty high profile case to just not present to the GJ if that deicison to present had been made.

I haven't read any defintive source that the GJ is happening. As I said, it's up to the DA. And they don't announce it so no way to know except through leaking.

yah, but, if DJ has admitted that MB physically attacked DW in an attempt to take his weapon how can that not result in DW being cleared via the GJ?

With all due respect, I haven't seen a single poster state or imply that MB is worse than the kid who raped and murdered Jerise Wright. As a matter of fact, most if not all posters were hoping that he would be tried as an adult and punished to the full extent of the law.

I agree that there has been discussion regarding the factors that may have caused JG to rape and murder Jerise, but that is because he committed a monstrous act against a little girl who trusted him, and devastated a family who considered him a friend. We wonder about people like JG because we wonder what causes someone to become a "monster", and want to learn how to recognize the signs of sociopathy in our neighbors and acquaintances. Discussing the factors that possibly led him to become a rapist and murderer is in no way making excuses for him.

I'll be the first one to say child rapists/child murders deserve to die.

This young man, IMO was a victim of his own making. The last 15 minutes of his life were a series of the worse possible decisions he could have made.
Did he "deserve to die" ? No of course not. Officer Wilson didn't deserve to be put into a life and death struggle for his own weapon either. He didn't deserve to be punched in the face. And he didn't deserve to sacrifice his own life or safety because some foolish 18 year old was charging at him.

I think Megyn Kelly on Fox News may just be the most intelligent, articulate journalist reporting on MSM at the moment. And I NEVER watch Fox News. She is asking the tough questions, Finally. Her points are salient so even I can understand them

ETA: The Governor has his sights on being Hillary's running mate in 2016. Hmmmm. IMO he just shot himself in the foot. Oh well.... JMV I guess I will be missing that $10K dinner...

I think she said that it was just announced that Holder is planning to EXPAND the investigation of civil rights to the 2009 case against the Ferguson PD for the assault of a black man.

That^^^ makes me think that it MIGHT be true about Dorian admitting that MB attacked the officer. Maybe Holder is throwing Ferguson a bone to distract them if the GJ does not indict Wilson.

I think they'll present the witnesses. Otherwise the witnesses will claim they weren't heard. It may be "continued" until next Wednesday to get past the funeral. Then, it will be pfffffffffft. The focus will shift to being about affirmative action on the police force and the public will shift our focus to the next big story. I do believe anyone who lies in their "witness" testimony to a GJ should be held accountable. Remember the rape "victim" who lied in the Duke LaX case?
