Journalist being attacked.

Honestly, it's nerve wreaking ,..but it's not riot like. It's troublesome and annoying& frustrating I'm sure for all sides.

There are really very very few real troublemakers.

would require the DA to not present the case to the GJ. Technically, that determination can be made, and is made all the time. Here, it was a pretty much forgone conclusion that the case would be presented, probably regardless of the evidence, just because of public sentiment. So, regardless of what DJ's testimony is or was, they GJ still has to vote if the case is presented and no one can predict what the vote will be. There is also the Civil Rights case that is being investigated by the DOJ.

Now, if this story about DJ is true, then, yes, it is highly unlikely that the officer would not be indicted by the GJ if the case is decided. It may also be that the DA would decline to present the case, since the closest witness has changed his story. However, changing your story isn't like a postive thing and usually means oyu have to assess credibility. So I doubt the DA will just take his word and decide not to present.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe. This guy has had an attorney from the beginning. It's not "impossible". Maybe DJ is ticked off for some reason. I don't pretend to understand the dynamics present here. But he wasn't the only witness and this is a pretty high profile case to just not present to the GJ if that deicison to present had been made.

I haven't read any defintive source that the GJ is happening. As I said, it's up to the DA. And they don't announce it so no way to know except through leaking.

Someone earlier posted their GJ meets weekly, which makes this seem less rushed, if that make sense.

It's not just about DJs potential change in his account of events though. If he did change his story about the attack, or even if he didn't given the the news of the cop's injuries, along with <mod snip> revelations about a "significant incident between the 2," the GJ would still also be considering all the forensic evidence as well.

We've already seen from Baden's report that even based upon a preliminary examination the fatal head shot could have happened as MB was charging Wilson.

Given what we've learned thus far, the forensics could conclusively show Wilson was justified.

It just occurred to me that maybe the bad element people there think it's OK to get violent at night, because hey, it's not BROAD DAYLIGHT, which is apparently a thing, even to their governor.

(Seriously, what's with the whole "Broad Daylight" deal, anyway?)

I was googling earlier.....ouch

Could cause permanent damage according to one source I read.
did you see the photos showing that the affected eye doesn't move in concert with the other eye?

oh my, I feel sick, I don't do well with eyeballs. How was he even able to hit his target?
Whoever mentiomrd upthread about the shots bring to the right may be very correct!

That word "blowout". There is no way he could have fought MB at that point.
Now it makes sense why MB said "you ain't gonna shoot me" allegedly. He might have known he had crushed his eye socket, horrors all around.

All posts are MOO

Acted like what, exactly? This protest is actually more spectacular than it is consequential. I believe that I heard on Fox that there were something like 100 protesters yesterday, and 200 media, and 500 LE. That's really a minor riot, relatively, and I offer this as just one counter-example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_G-20_Toronto_summit_protests

You asked about 'what if the coin was turned and white people acted like this?' -- well, here you go.

I remember this. It was bad.

And "watch your six" is marine and I guess cop speak for "watch your back"

DO NOT PANIC, Tim lovers. He's just changing batteries and says he'll be right back. (He's got about 90 more seconds, or we're calling his momma).
