I've read some posts here about if this is a race issue or not. The actual incident had nothing to do with race.
However, I ask who is making it about race now?

To bring some levity into this mess I will share that I would not mind being stuck in an elevator with Denzel Washington for and hour or 4 LOL. Yummy he his.

Hubby made an interesting observation this evening

He said that he kept wondering why people around the Ferguson MO area really didn't recognize MB. He then connected his age of 18 with aging out of juvie and wondered if that's why no one knew him around the area...

Just my hubby wondering out loud...
But he wasn't new to the area was he?

Could be. His parents live in a different part of Ferguson, I've wondered the reason he stayed elsewhere. I can't be too harsh on the parents, even though they are allowing Crump to turn this into a circus. Much like the Peterson family in CA, your kid is your kid and any serious wrong doing by them has to be hard to swallow.

When did I say such a thing? NEVER!

I only said that, in accordance with Mod statements, the investigation is still open, so all speculation is within TOS, excepting the families.

There has been no evidence, either, that MB needed killing. Until the investigation is complete and statements are issued, I will just keep refreshing and reading.

Many here have called MB a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and a criminal. Yes. It appears he stole cigars. But again, we can only speculate so far.

Again, in another case, a white boy, only a few months younger than MB, brutally rapes and murders a little girl and we MUST find a reason. He was abused, injured, etc.

But for MB, being black is enough to explain his (?) crime. Which was not raping a little girl to death.
Respectfully, I've been reading for days....and I have never seen anyone post that "being black is enough to explain his crime" except in your post right here.

The report claims that DJ has admitted to investigators that MB struck DW and fought for the gun, i.e. he changed his previous statements. This seems believable to me because DJ made statements previously to the media (and I presume police) that have now been proven false. He claimed that MB was shot in the back which has been proven false by the autopsy report. I suspect that his attorney probably advised him that he was in serious legal jeopardy for making false statements and probably arranged immunity from prosecution in exchange for making a full confession.

If in fact this is what has happened it seems strange to me that a GJ was convened. Not even the proverbial "ham sandwich" could get indicated with this set of facts.

Given the source of this information - a local (albeit small) media outlet - I think we can give weight to this report.

Agree. And since the GJ starts tomorrow, they were probably working down to the wire to get the deal done. Maybe they will cancel the GJ?

If Browns friend was with him, and he was, when Brown went for the gun then lied about it...
Forensics can prove he lied, so can ballistics, eyewitness testimony...couldn't his friend be charged with some very serious crimes...???? I think so.

It would be in his best interest to tell the truth, avoid prison, be protected...

He should NOT be afforded the option of "avoiding prison" if he lied. He should go to prison and throw away the key. That's a one strike and you're out offense, imo.

Call it heavy-handed. He could have prevented all of this crap by telling the truth.

That is what I think too - if there is a bullet hole in the car then it indicates that MB did have his arms in a cops patrol car (one reason why I wonder if tox screen will show someithg else) . That is pretty ballsey to be sticking your arm or youself inside a cops car and expect nothing to happen. It sounds like a behavior that one on something might do, but its apretty stupid thing to do! IMO

I went back to FB page and read a lot of the comments. Wow, it does sound like they had prior knowledge of the autopsy report and if they know DJ was admitted MB was going for the gun, the state has no case- now I get it!
If true, I am not surprised that DJ would tell the truth to avoid charges. He seems like the more cautious one anyway, remember he put the box of cigars back rather than steal them from the Ferguson Market video?

I feel sorry for McCulluch. The main reason he is supposed to be 'removed' from this case seems to be because his father was shot in the line of duty by a black man. Since when do we penalize and punish someone because their parent is a crime victim?

I wonder if his father was injured or killed in the line of duty.

Me too. And the man was elected 4 times, so obviously voters in Ferguson had confidence in him to vote him in for years... strange

a journalist (older gentleman) shook Tim's hand, told him his work is some of the best he's ever seen

Tim: thank you, man

the Lt Governor made statements, not Fox anchor

The quote I replied to said MK said Nixon should "Stay out of it". But then, Santa is white. According to Megyn.

If it was not her quote, I apologize. But that was the post I replied to.

The prosecutor can present witnesses but that doesn't mean the GJ will indict. Let's not forget the two female witnesses who claim they saw MB turn and raise his arms and say don't shoot. I doubt they've changed their story. All the prosecutor has to do is present witnesses who saw it differently. Holder said they found new witnesses. That nugget is buried in his press release.

He was killed, but I'm not sure if it was "in the line of duty."

I don't remember the actual specifics.

Can you imagine how scared he was? I can. Then ...Insert savvy lawyers & those with an agenda $$$$$$ easily manipulating him...he always looked SCARED to me. His story easily unraveled....everyone knew it. IMO But they were all running their own agenda.

All IMO

No one could have foreseen how HUGE this now is.

:modstop:

A couple of things:

1) We are not going to allow links to blogs in this case without prior approval. And approvals will be tough to get.

2) Posts directed at other posters rather than the case will earn a TO without explanation. If you have a problem with another member, use the alert feature and scroll on by OR use the ignore feature and keep it to yourself

You guys are starting to push the envelope on rule #2. Just a friendly warning at this point. Stay focused on the case and not criticizing others for how they interpret the information being provided by the MSM.
