Really? 'Cause in a link in one of the posts above, the recorder of the phone video is talking at first about the guy who stole some cans of a beverage. But when it comes to the point where things get a bit hairy, there is some sort of classical-type piano music playing loud. So loud that you can not hear if there were warnings issued by the police before the shots fired or what the guy's words were prior to the shooting.

Why would someone purposely put loud music drumming out the verbal exchange?

If the 12 witnesses are all friends, relations or co-workers of Wilson, they did not witness the incident and are only repeating what Darren Wilson told THEM. I hope these are independent witnesses. If so, lots of light will be shed on this incident. JMO

Uhhh...if they were acquaintances that heard a story they are NOT witnesses (they may be character witnesses but that's not what the 12 refers to).

A witness is someone who actually "witnessed" the events, kwim?

I only join in the discussion when someone quotes Parcells as expert on MB autopsy. I think everyone should be able to read the media reports about Parcells and decide for themselves if he is creditable. Parcells is not an MD.

And since he's all over the media, giving interviews and influencing people's perceptions, I can't think of many things that are more important than educating people about his credibility.

I believe he has a strong agenda or at the very least, bias, since I've seen him pose as an expert with creds he doesn't have, and say things that were contradictory to what Baden said.

Absolutely NO reason to apologise, unless you have made unsubstantiated assertions as fact. We all have a picture in our respective brains of what POSSIBLY happened. We are all trying to make sense of it. But the forensic facts are not at our fingertips, so all we can do is speculate. Witnesses (either side) are not liars with hidden agendas. They may be wrong, but they believe what they see and what they hear. It is a human condition.

I believe some of the witnesses are liars with hidden agendas: that agenda is to attack an entire police force with baseless accusations of racism in order to drive the cops away or to look the other way and ignore their crimes such as shaking down clerks for a box of cigars. I'm wondering now if Officer Wilson was being set up. Brown didn't seem to mind the cameras when he did his heist and the assault and battery. Was it planned to lure the responding officer into the apartments and ambush him? Is that why Brown grabbed for his gun? Officer Jimmy Wilson was ambushed in similar fashion years ago and murdered in his own cruiser in the north part of Omaha.

I'm betting all the police officers are shown an incredible amount of disrespect by the criminals trying to control Ferguson no matter what race the officer happens to be.

Officer Wilson was shot and killed after he pulled over a van for having fictitious plates. He had radioed in his location just before two of eight gang members exited the side of the van and opened fire on him with an AK-47 and a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol. Officer Wilson was killed while still sitting in his cruiser with his seat belt on and microphone in his hand.

The suspects ranged from 14 to 20-years-old.

I have just watched the video taken of the shooting of Mr. Powell. That needs some serious investigation. I understand that perhaps tasers might not be as effective due to the jacket he was wearing. But knife or no, that man was not close enough to be perceived as a threat to the officers responding or the bystanders. MOO

And UNLIKE the Brown shooting the whole thing is on video from well before police arrived til well after the shooting. We can all see with our own eyes what happened there. I feel very strongly that the Powell shooting was not even close to justified and I wonder why is the public not demanding justice for Powell?

Highly disturbing. I hope a full and transparent investigation is done on that shooting and feel based on what I saw with my own eyes that Mr. Powell's family has one heck of a lawsuit against the city should they choose to file it.

I don't know if the officers involved can be charged criminally but boy they sure can be sued civil wise if not.
