It matters a lot to me too. When is it ok to ever "scuffle" with a police officer. It's assault and Battery. MB needed to be arrested for it.

I agree that if MB, as evidence proves, assaulted Wilson, he should have been arrested for assault upon an officer of the law. I think, but am not sure, that THAT is a felony assault. But reportedly, by"Josie", Wilson had already called for back-up. If that is so, what was the big rush to arrest MB? If Wilson had waited a few minutes for back-up to arrive they could have arrested MB without any shots fired except the first. I don't see that it was critical to catch him right away..........since he was running away. We do not know if back-up was called for or if it was, at what point. JMO

Doubt~

I think why you see a majority of posts that may be perceived as Pro Wilson is because unfortunately the majority of other social media outlets are convinced of his being just what you said cop who kills unwarranted. I also think there's real frustration with the narrative that MB was a child, innocent of any wrong doing, police are using excessive force on women children protesting, not allowing rights to protest etc.

However, there is always 3 sides to a story Theirs, Yours and The TRUTH and NO ONE knows the whole truth on this situation. I really hate that this situation is continuing to perpetuate the shared wound of racial bias. I say racial bias because even though it's mostly pinned upon caucasians but in fact many of color and just as guilty of racial bias ie Cop was white had to be racial or he was black young male must have been .

There are a lot of really bad white people out there and there are a lot of really good white people but I think it's time we fulfill MLK's Dream and take the emphasis off the color of our skin and focus on the content of our character. Which I believe is ultimately why MB community is pushing so hard a narrative of racial issues because there is unfortunately tarnish on MB's Character.

I hope you see I too believe just like you it's time we accept our past failings and focus on our future understandings. Stated with much respect for your POV.

Mini rant here. I'm about done with CNN and their statistics. They seem to throw out random statistics without any other information - fanning the racist flames even more and making it sound that Ferguson is partial to hiring white officers. We don't know that. Just now Jeffrey Tubin said...."Ferguson's police force consists of 90% white officers". Well hmmmmm....can we get some more info regarding those statistics? Like how many qualified Black or Hispanic potential police officers are actually applying for police officer positions in Ferguson? Adding that info might help someone determine whether or not there is a problem if Blacks are being passed over in favor of whites.

I agree with you. I don't mind the statistics but it's important to know if qualified minorities are being passed over. I hope that is not the case here and I haven't seen anything to indicate that it is.

It's a dangerous road to travel when you think any particular race should police it's own people. jmo

I am of the belief that criminals, thugs, low life's and the stupid come in every race, color, sex, class and size.

I don't judge people by any of those things. I judge people by their behavior, actions and intentions.

Nobody here that I've seen has denied there may be corrupt cops in that community but I personally have seen no evidence any cop is corrupt in that community. The discussion here hasn't mentioned trees at all.

If the reports are true about Wilson being struck through the window of his vehicle and having an orbital fracture then I would say that's why this all went the way it did. If you have someone willing to strike an armed police officer while that officer is engaged in official duty then I can understand the fear/feeling that this person could have been a threat to others. I mean, I suppose grabbing/shoving a store clerk is one thing, but scuffling with a police officer could be construed as being an immediate threat to public safety especially if Off. Wilson had just suffered a traumatic facial injury. Why would you NOT want the LEO to try to stop the potential threat? Because if someone is willing to attack an armed police officer it seems to me they are pretty dangerous to the general public.

the only folks who are making it clear that justice has ONE look and only one, are those who insist that wilson was justified. it's entirely ridiculous.

my brother, a white cop, was shot in the line of duty by an 18 yo black kid. my brother fired back and the kid was killed. do not blast me as unknowing or whatever else for finally stating what needed to be said here.

i've never, ever seen a group of people insist so damn hard that a town of 23,000 people in US cannot possibly be home to corrupt police, and cops who kill when killing is unwarranted. are we now denying that this country used to hang black people on trees, too?

Honestly, I can't answer that. I know when it happened, it was a little swollen, he was given an ice pack and sat down . ( daycamp at the time) when the nurse checked on him, three hours later, they called me all panicked and an ambulance. I met them at the hospital. It had swollen shut, the eyeball was blood red, and I swear, not exaggerating around his eye and his eyelid swelled up the size of a baseball.
He did say he was very disorientated but didn't loose consciousness.
He had a CAT scan and saw "eyeball"
Specialists. ( forget the name) neurologists..and even a plastic surgeon.

I can't find the early photos... This one is 3 months later. I edited it so he can't be recognized per TOS

I also want to clarify my previous posts as I was trying to get car towed & fielding phone calls etc.

The point of my posts were to say there are other agents manipulating this situation to further causes and to stir up tensions. There are groups unfortunately wanting to change our country and I just wanted to share links to show that this isn't a local issue randomly put on a national platform but to exploit a community to further a cause.

Also, There's misinformation about Police Brutality during Protest unprovoked tear gas blocking rights etc giving not only MO LE but all LE bad name and knowing who the players are there it helps to understand why Capt Johnson continues to say in Pressers outside agitators etc.

Idk if it came across as informative or like I'm a NutJob which I am not LOL but my heart goes out to those who have had their lives turned upside down from this incident Residents, LE, Business owners and it makes me sick that there are people who will use these situations to exploit, profit or push agendas.



If anything hopefully in the end this unites us stronger than divides us.. Girl can have a dream!
